Just went and saw that movie Lucky Number Slevin, it was pretty fargin awesome.  It was definately worth the price of admission, it has a straight all-star cast.

Wasn't a big fan of Slevin.  It was alright, but the last half of the movie was useless IMO.

"Capote" - If you want to see a damn fine acting performance, see this movie.  It does drag quite a bit, despite being under 2 hours long, but Hoffman is truly fantastic.

Movie - 3.5/5
PSH - 5/5

Saw a couple of good ones this weekend...

First was "All We Are Saying" which is a documentary from Rosanna Arquette that concerns the state of the music industry.

Second was "Good Night, And Good Luck" from George Clooney.  I saw it previously but rented the DVD and sat through it a couple more times.  Excellent movie.

Recommend both highly.

I couldn't imagine much you'd miss the first time through.  Good flick, but pretty straight-forward.

Rome

I actually rented more for the special features which included a brief documentary that was pretty standard stuff and the running voice-over from Clooney & his co-writer on the film.

I thought the DVD was supposed to have a companion disc that included the original "See It Now" expose' on McCarthy but it didn't come with it.

im sure when it came out it was awesome, so i'll give it that. other than that it was a good laugh and had alot less action than i was expecting.  acting was brilliant  :-D

Finally watched "Leon" (a.k.a. "The Professional").  Frikkin' great movie.

I just wish Natalie Portman wasn't hot now.  It would have made me feel less dirty to watch it.  Ha.

Solid 4/5.

man on fire.....4/5

i loved the cinemaphotography in the film.  it really added to the whole feel of the being in his shoes.  denzel was great, but he always plays that character.  he can keep playing it for all i care.  i thought overall it was a great movie that i look forward to adding to the collection.

Elizabethtown, a review by matt

Elizabethtown, romantic comedy.  Delete the word 'comedy', and replace 'romantic' with 'heaping plate of burning feces.'

Drew Baylor (Orlando Bloom) is fired after causing his shoe company to lose hundreds of millions of dollars, in a laughable storyline where some 25 year old douche was somehow comparable to the CEO of Nike.  To make matters worse, he's also dumped by his girlfriend (Jessica Biel), who for some reason  is only on screen for 8 minutes and doesn't show any boobs at all.  Big mistake. To make matters worser than worse, he is still Orlando Bloom.  On the verge of ending it all, Drew gets a new lease on life when he returns to his family's small Kentucky hometown after his father dies.  Wacky family members who should all be shot in their Kentucky backyards ensue.  Along the way, he meets a flight attendant (Kirsten Dunst), and despite the fact that she's a grown woman who still has baby teeth and apparently the fangs she got from Interview with a Vampire, he somehow still falls in love with her after a ridiculous scavenger hunt where, in a surprising twist to no one at all, she appears as the final clue. Cameron Crowe directs.

as i stated, when the movie came out is was prob the coolest movie around.  now, its not, but i appreciate it for what its worth. i thought it was cool but, u can't even compare man on fire to the warriors.  other than that man on fire had solid actors and was a major movie production and the warrriors was pretty underground with a bunch of nobody actors. that being part of the reason it was so cool.

In context, this was one of the funniest things I've read on this board in weeks.  Well said, sir.
