The Eagles called a 5:30 p.m. press conference for today to announce the re-signing of offensive tackle Jon Runyan. No terms of the deal were available.

Runyan, also courted by the New York Jets, signed a six-year deal worth $30.5 million with the Eagles in 2000 and never missed a game during his six seasons with the team.

Runyan, 32, had said that he wanted to remain close to his home in Mount Laurel, and his first choice was to play for the Eagles.
