I remember McMahon scoring nearly as many points for the Seahawks as their offense did.

7-Yrs/$54M with $18.5M in guarantees for Peterson?

Absolutely farging insane.  Half that is nuts considering his injury history and his subpar play the past two years.

Man, no wonder why the Eagles have mostly stayed out of the free agency fray.  That's just plain goofy.

Oh yeah? and who will replace him? You seem to have all the confidence in the world that they will bring in a WR and a real honest to goodness SAM. So who are they going to replace him with? Anyone they bring in at this point from FA would be a schmuck b/c they aren't going after Arrington. Maybe you're thinking Whitey McWhiterson is going to bump Jones off the squad? Oh joy.

You have no reason to think that Jones will be gone other than your own wishful thinking, so how about if you stop telling other to STFU and open your eyes.

If they are done in free agency and don't come out of that draft with a stud DT, LB, WR and OG though, then I will shred them every minute of every day on here.

youre out of mind dook...they arent getting a stud at 14 what makes you think they can bag four studs in one draft...theyd be lucky to get that in five years of drafts...what you gotta hope for is two or three really good players and maybe one develops into a stud...whatever a stud is...

either way they arent getting anyone in this draft that is going to appreciably improve their team for next year...lets hope for a player like patterson...who was ok and showed that he should be a quality starter in the nfl

True, but in the past the Eagles have stayed away from the bidding game, and have made out pretty well. A lot of players that we wanted as fans, are players who got big deals from other teams and haven't lived up to the hype.

Sure, the Eagles aren't right 100% of the time, but after being furious for the first week of free agency, I have taken a complete 180 in terms of my attitude for now. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt until the draft. If they are done in free agency and don't come out of that draft with a stud DT, LB, WR and OG though, then I will shred them every minute of every day on here.

But for now they get the benefit of the doubt. Right now I'm willing to believe that rather than being cheap they have an actual plan in place. I know it's hard to believe that after last season, but giving up my trust on the Eagles means giving up on the season, and giving up on the season means giving up on something I look so forward to every year, and I'm not ready to give up on that yet.

So, you really think they'll draft 4 studs who will be inserted right into the lineup and perform?  You're out of your farging mind.  If this is what you're waiting for, you might as well start bitching now.

More likely, they think they have the tools in place at the positions they ignored in FA to be successful.  While I'm not sure I agree, what the hell do I know?  I wanted Akili Smith in the draft.....
Anyone but Reid.

Well, since Peterson is gone >:( they have to turn their attention elsewhere...

1. Arrington - He is not a SAM. Playing him at a position where he has to be disciplined and lock a TE down would be stupid. So if they signed him he'd have to go to WIL and Barber would have to go to SAM. But the problem is, Peterson just got $54M and $18.5m guaranteed. They share the same agent. If Peterson got that, Arrington will want that too.

2. Na'il Diggs - A solid SAM 'backer from GB. He has had some injury problems if I recall correctly but when he is right he is a good player.

3. Hunter Hillenmeyer - A very good, young player who is a RFA (5th rd. comp) from Chicago. He is playing under Ron Rivera so if he were to come here he would fit right in because of the similar defensive schemes. Problem is, CHI could match a deal. So Banner would have to get creative to steal him.

Well, scratch the need for a bigger back off your list...

Buckhalter's already "75-80%" back!

:-D :-D :-D

What a farging joke.

Quote"There's so much frustration built up inside me. I just want to let it out on the field," Buckhalter said. "I'm just looking forward to going to training camp and showing the people that I still can run the football.

"It's too early for me to not be able to play football. I'm still young. I can't end my career with injury. I have dreams and I want to reach my dreams."

Oh my farging god. Put a bullet in that lame horse and move the farg on.

The Seahawks have reached an agreement with LB Julian Peterson on a seven-year, $54 million contract.

To see the f-in Seahawks (supposedly one of the "top tier" teams Lurie was quoted talking about as the "financially smart" teams who "build contenders year in and year out") go out and spend this kind of money on an injured LB, what the F are the Eagles doing? Not even a visit? Lunch? Dinner? You trying to tell me the Seahawks see something we dont?

I dont care if he's coming off of injury or not, a hobbled Peterson is better than what we have in there....and he IS worth the money--the guy is a stud regardless. Its not nuerology here to realize one of our biggest problems last year was that LB crew (except for Trot). They could of seriously solidified the middle/outside of the field with Trotter and Peterson. Championship teams have stud LB's.

Lurie: "Whatcha think Andy? You like what you see so far?"
Reid: "Hmmmm, Im thinking we might need an offe....defen...got it....we need a special teams player."
Lurie: "Your absolutely right...but I only have $20 million left so lets be smart about this k?
Reid: "No problem....I want Ike Reese back!"
Lurie: "Exactly what I was thinking...he's a nice guy and everyone like him....good call.....we'll give him the max."
