an interesting portion:

Quote"I think you look around the league and you find that the teams that make the right evaluations and make the smart decisions, whether it be the Patriots, Steelers or us, it's a much smarter way to go."

one of these things is not like the other....

nothing wrong with what he said.

would you rather he compare himself to the brown or bidwell family?

ice grillin you

youve just come off your worst season in years...with the 5th largest cash pile under the cap...do you do EVERYTHING possible to:

a) sign the best player in FA...a center in his prime who would stop the jailbreak up the middle and make your whole line immediately better

b) take a chance and overspend on one of several linebackers to sure up the 29th ranked defense.

c) trade for one of a couple disgruntled pro bowl wr's to compliment and possibly mentor reggie brown

d) sign a back up tight end and an injured 31 year old linebacker and "see what shakes out down the road"

you are jeffery lurie....sensing the fanbase is restless...you make a condescending speech preaching patience...and that football teams that make big splashes in free agency never win the SB...since you and your organization has never won one of these...this action can be best defined as:

a) prophetic
b) hopeful
c) insightful
d) vomit inducing

i'd rather him not talk about how smart they are until they actually win a Super Bowl.  like the other teams mentioned.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

BigEd76

I'd also point out that the year they spent $$$ for Kearse and TO, they went to the Super Bowl....

TO and Kearse had nothing to do with it.  Dont you remember Pinkston led the NFL in yards per catch?  duh.

Magical_Retard

since moulds is being asked to be released i think it makes sense to wait on that. i would much rather have walker or moulds over randle el or givesn, preferrably walker (more upside). they have a solid DE now to compliment Kearse, so i want them to to target Oline, Dline, and a FB.

My brotha I've gotta take issue with you here.

We were never a factor in getting Bentley. He wanted to go home.

LB's are not important in this D if the front 4 are getting a push.

Mawae is still out there.

He is correct about teams with the big splash in FA. You don't have to win the SB to realize that.

Runyan is absolutely the biggest signing the Eagles need.

And face it. Even if the fan base is restless, the Linc will still sell out and us idiots will still buy the merch.
Alert, alert. Look well at the rainbow. The fish will be running very soon.

Mawae was signed today.

LBs are important.  I don't know why it's such a popular company line to reiterate the LBs are meaningless in the Eagles scheme.  Sure it helps if the DLine is getting ample push up the middle, but to say that LBs are insigificant is a fallacy to me.

And yes, Runyan needs to be re-signed I believe.

PhillyPhanInDC

I was poking around on the EMB, and saw this pic in a Chad Lewis thread, and it made me laugh pretty good.

That's Chad Lewis, a TE who never impressed with his YAC numbers, jumping over a LB to gain some yards after the catch. Look closely at who the LB is.

I'll give you a hint....Dhani Jones.

Point is, they could have the best front four in all of the NFL, that doesn't make Dhani a decent SAM.
