Well, it doesn't help that Danny boy has driven up the market value for safeties now.

What will Mike Lewis ask for now?

BDawk is older so it shouldn't affect him too much.

Who cares?  Eagles can afford whatever it is with ease, man.

i dont think it drives the market up...99% of the teams in the league arent going to grossly overpay for an archuletta

Agreed.
I don't think the taterskins moves affects the market.  In reality, no one else does what the taterskins do in terms of massaging the cap.

qwert246

They taterskins have no qualms about paying someone 30% more than what another team wants to pay.

Randel-el 8 mil guaranteed in CHI, 10.5mil in Washington.  They don't even think twice.  Everyone thinks it burns them, but in the end it never does.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Right, because they can just continue to get massive profits by driving up prices on the fans.

He markets that team in other ways, but yes, he's rough on fans.  I've already stated here I think he's a prick.  But that doesn't mean shtein in the end.  You seem to think there is a cause and effect here with the ticket price.  Trust me, he would have raised them regardless.
I'll still go to games and still pay the farging money and he knows it.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Right, and as long as he's making the profits, he's not going to rebuild the personnel department in his organization to build a long-term winner.  That's the inherent problem.  It's not that he doesn't want to win.  It's that he hasn't been absolutely forced to find a better way, because the fans are lemmings regardless.

ice grillin you

yep...which is why he makes a monster splash every year in free agency whether it helps his team or not...because then he can justify that he is doing everything possible to help them win...which validates his insane prices on parking, tickets, concessions ect...

the amazing thing is you literally cannot find one taterskin fan anywhere that disagrees with what he does...im not saying it has to be like philly or new york where they murder their teams but good god the skin fans are utter fools

the price for just parking in Washington is almost as high as an Eagles ticket price.  I'm sure Skins tix prices are astonomical  :deion

Yeah, but you can't understimate the drawing power of the DTC.  The parking lot prices are fair in that respect.

You keep saying that, but the moves in the last two years have been very successful.
Moss, Washington, Portis, Preileau, Rabach, even Stoutmire all good moves.
Trading up for Cooley, Rogers, Taylor, all good picks.
Say Campbell here and you get hit with a barrage of wasted pick/bad move crap, but it was a move for the future right or wrong.  It was the guy they targeted

did he buy the team two years ago?...they might win the superbowl this year who knows...the point is hes been an idiot for 95% of the time hes owned the team...and the skins fans have eaten it up every year

qwert, one playoff appearance in ten years isn't the epitome of success.

Year after year Snyder has been spending money like Imelda Marcos in a shoe sale, but until last season had absolutely nothing to show for it.

Will they make the playoffs this season.  Very possible.  But there are some that come here and talk like the taterskins have had it all over the Eagles for the last seven years, when it's been mostly the polar opposite.
