Sorry, I don't buy it. NOWHERE else (other than the Fox29 report) was the Finneran thing even mentioned.

Now all of the sudden, they were making a big push for him? 

Eye rolling aside, is it so hard to believe that the Eagles made an offer for a capable large-bodied receiver with Philadelphia ties?  If anything, I would think apologists would want to support the Eagles on this one.

Plus, it probably had some merit to it if Roob thought it was worth repeating, no?

I'm not saying either way. I'm just saying, this rumor was NEVER substantiated with even a LINK (I asked for one a few times) and nothing was mentioned ANYWHERE about this finneran thing.

I don't think anyone is mad that they didn't sign him.  I think they're just tired of this crap of local media throwing things against a wall to see what sticks.  I'm not even sure where FOX29 came up with that one....

I'm just sick of the Eagles being seemingly complacent about improving the team during free agency when they have a massive pile of cap room and went winless in the division last year.  That's what I'm sick of.

Yes, I am glad that the Eagles try to build a team through the draft, but there are deep questions on the offensive line, at DT, at SAM LB, at WR, and at backup QB which cannot be fulfilled to my satisfaction in the draft.

Yes, there's plenty of time left and some good players left (Bernard, Peterson, trade for Walker, Runyan) that are still possible.  But all indications are that this team is content to pick and poke at a couple of role players and is unwilling to realize that the new CBA made the market a sellers' market.

To this day, I don't know where the whole "select" button came from.  My brother and I used to play all the time (I was the blue guy, he was the red)... and we NEVER hit select.  The screen would start to scroll by, whoever has player 1 would enter the code (without select) and we'd both play with 30 men.

(up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, start)... that was it.
