taterskins | Contract update: A. Randle El
Sun, 12 Mar 2006 14:01:07 -0800

ESPN.com reports Washington taterskins WR Antwaan Randle El agreed to a six-year, $31 million deal to join the taterskins, a source familiar with the negotiations told ESPN.com's Michael Smith. The deal includes $10 million in bonuses.

Sirius is still reporting this deal is not yet official.

The $10 million in bonuses is almost certainly not all up-front, which makes that deal not too bad for both parties involved.  It's certainly more than Randle El's worth, but it's less than I thought he was going to get.

If it makes anyone feel better about the Bukkake party that's been the Eagles free agency moves thus far, supposedly the DE that the Skins wanted, Andre Carter, has left taterskins Park without a contract.

Andre Carter is the DE. Andre Davis is the WR that signed with Buffalo.

T.O. signing with Dallas would absolutely glue AR/BANNER'S eyes shut.

I've been reading too many boards...Thanks

Not only did I get the name wrong, I completely missed that it was already posted.

Again, Sirius is reporting that Randle El HAS NOT signed with the Skins. He's weighing offers from several different clubs. The reason he's not a Bear right now is because of their reluctance to add a sixth year.

Sirius could be wrong, and ESPN could be right.  No?

Of course, but don't you find it at all strange that no one is reporting this deal as 'Official'? They just reported he's talking to Chicago and that they're trying to get confirmation either way whether he signed or not. My guess is he's using the Skins to drive up his price.

Like I said, I think he's using the Skins offer to drive his price up. Sirius is reporting he's still talking with Da Bears. Just reporting what I'm hearing.

I know... I'm not knocking you, bro... I'm just questioning who's wrong about the whole thing.  Sirius is saying that ARE is looking for that 6th year from the Bears... but KFFL says he turned down a 6 year deal from them.

Point is... since this FA shtein started, we've been getting some pretty zesty reporting, so who knows who's got their shtein together and who doesn't.

Despite all the rumors on the internet, Sirius contacted the Skins PR department and they wouldn't confirm a deal.
