The funny part is that Brandon Lloyd is hardly proven and that the taterskins will have to give him pretty damn big dollars because he's so full of himself.  So, he's like a draft pick, only much more costly.
Maybe the dumbest thing you have posted in a while.
He is easily worth a third+fourth.  To think any less is foolish.
As for the contract value, we'll have to see what the details were to make any judgement.
I'm very happy with the addition.

See, that's the problem.  You think nothing of the draft picks.  Just last year, the Eagles got an OT capable of playing in year one in the 4th round (Herremans) and a good pass-rushing DE in the 5th (Cole).

The issue isn't the picks, or the money.  The issue is picks AND money.  The taterskins routinely make deals like this instead of making a concerted effort to build from within first.  This is why they will occasionally catch the right chemistry and make some good things happen, but they will not build a long-term winner... a team that will be competitive year in and year out.

ice grillin you

thats cause they dont have a gm

its pretty well known around the league that if you want or need a draft pick call lil danni

Yep.

Quote03/30/2004     WR     James Thrash     Traded to the Washington taterskins. In exchange, the Eagles received the taterskins 5th round draft choice in 2005.

I just realized it was the Thrash pick that got us Cole.  That makes me happy.

That just gave me mini-wood. Good find.

Are qwert and Bigskin a goddamn homo figure skating team? Spin, spin, spin...

Snyder & Cerrato also, if I recall correctly, had to trade for a pick so they could get Chad Morton from the NYJ as a RFA. So they traded with the Pats and got the wrong pick. It wasn't high enough in the round per league rules and they had to re-do the trade.

Dumbasses.

Where did I say this, exactly?  I said a 3rd+4th was a great price for a proven Brandon LLoyd.  If you think he's marginal, you need to watch more football.  He was a bright spot on a team with lots of problems.

PoopyfaceMcGee

I've seen plenty of Brandon Lloyd, and he is a marginal talent.

He's Freddie Mitchell, except possibly slightly more athletic and able to make a great catch.  His attitude is reminiscent, his speed and acceleration are similar, and he will give up on a play or on his team if he's not getting his.

Obviously, the taterskins will hope to start him and get him plenty of balls, but if the QB situation starts to become problematic, Lloyd will start to act out.

Plus, it doesn't change the fact that your team throws money seemingly everywhere but the draft.  Why not beef up the college scouting team, get a real GM, and get some cheaper young talent to go with the free agents?

That strategy never works, the Skins 1 playoff appearance in 10 years is evidence of that. Give me a proven player over some unknown Draft pick any day. Tell em Art.

does everyone believe me now???

No.  They acquired Brandon Lloyd and Randle El, and they still only have Brunell or Campbell to throw to them.

Archuletta, Carter, Randel El, and LLoyd  :o :o :o ;D ;D ;D......without getting LaCharles, you guys will have plenty of money for those undrafted free agents ::) ::) :o :o

You really think you're getting all 4 of those guys?  Really?

Also, you probably should kill yourself and improve the world's average intelligence by a couple of points.

Just signed Randel El, :o :o 2 more to go....genious ;D

Glad to see your WR corps is going to be the best in the NFL between the 20's.
