QuoteAccording to a source close to the center, Bentley's interest in joining the Eagles is so strong that only the delay in the free-agency period prevented the move from happening today.

Still can't get over that statement.  Beautiful.  :yay

Does Bentley's wallet say "Bad Motherfarger"?

If not, it should.

Looks like Keyonta Marshall will be giving up that #65...  ;D

I checked with "NC" and he says Hicks will be a reserve and they like Jackson at guard.  Mo, I asked about the possibility of someone like the Vikings coming in at the last second this weekend with FA being pushed back 3 days, and he said it's always possible, but these deals with agents are done weeks before FA starts...

If anyone wants some quick reading material here's Bentley's NewOrleansSaints.com bio

Phreak = warm & fuzzy inside.

Hicks is best served as the 6th man 1st OT off the pine.

Clarke = 1st OG off the bench

I like the idea of signing Bentley, but am still a bit nervous about the RT position.

I asked about RT.  "I doubt Runyan will be back."  Herremans will most likely be the RT unless they decide to move Andrews there (which I'm not a fan of).  He also says Bentley is not a done deal yet.  "I don't think it's a slam dunk."

It can't be a slam dunk until the contract is done.  There is a lot of interest in him, as there should be, and the Eagles will have to come out of the gates with big-time money to land him on the first day.

QuoteAfter what he said was an off-color racial remark, Bentley confronted Walter in the locker room.

"I told him after break down I was going to break him down," Bentley said.

True to his word, Bentley walked to the middle the field after the final stretching after the workout and set up to fight Walter. One punch by Bentley ended the dispute.

Here's another bad ass Bentley quote I saw over at 700level.com:

Quote
"When you take a man, a grown man, and you put your hands in the middle of his chest and bend him back to a point where you hear him scream, when he starts screaming like a little girl, you put his head in the dirt. And then you look up and you see Deuce, all you can see is McAllister 26 stiff arming somebody 20 yards down the field breaking a 40 yard run and scoring. Then you get up and just look at (the blocked defender), and you know damn well when he gets to the sideline, he's getting cussed out. And you know his mama, his wife and his kids were watching him on that play and you just manhandled him. That's the best feeling."

If I hadn't decided to stop buying jerseys...

What a farging badass.  We need this guy to replace Runyan's attitude on the line.
