I understand that a tender doesn't mean he is coming back, but why not give the tag to someone else? I would rather them give it Adams, or shtein, even McCants.

I'm pretty sure that giving Mahe a tender doesn't keep them from not using it on others. It's possible that they are aware  there may be interest in him from other teams

A RFA tender is for Restricted Free Agents. There is no tag here. Its not like a frachise tag or transition tag.

Yeah...I don't like the little queer player either. Him along with Josh Parry are my biggest bullseyes to pick on and hate. And a few others too, but those are the main two guys.
