Seriously, if you have a router, just set up your laptop for filesharing. Then go to your PC, look for the laptop in the network, and drag the files you want over to the PC.

Sounds simple enough so I think I'll give that a shot first. I thought I was going to have to buy additional equipment to set up a network though. If I can't figure out how to do it, I'll probably just go buy the memory stick.

Unless you need it for something else, you'll be spending $100 for no good reason. You already have everything you need to set up the network. I mean, you can disable it after you transfer the files...no big deal.
