Rivals has the whole class signed now.  Ed was right, naturally.

Sitting in Paterno's closet all morning appears to have paid off.

Woot!

Weird...

ESPN has much different ratings for PSU's recruits than Rivals or Scout.com

Walton the #1 OG in the country?  Evans #1 DE?

But Wallace only #7 CB?

Weird.  Brent Carter isn't even rated.

ice grillin you

most of these kids have never been seen by any of the recruting sites

many get stars assisgned strictly by who offers them

its the polar opposite of an exact science and in the end means very little...see tony hunt vs austin scott

if you go by g&w for example penn states class is insane....i believe they have every single one of their recruits in their top 100...or close to it
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

D'Vontrey Richardson

That might be a better D' name than D'Brickashaw.

Maryland has one named Pha'Terrell Washington

SunMo

these farging apostrophe names that look cute now are going to look awfully stupid when they're printed out on Social Security checks

Rivals update on Hazelton:

QuoteAccording to national recruiting analyst Mike Farrell who spoke with Hazelton's father, the dad has not signed the letter-of-intent, which would make the document valid for the Trojans.

It is being reported that Hazelton will return back home to New York where his father would like to discuss with him his future plans and possibly a different school choice in the end. As for now, this deal has yet to be finished and the book has not yet closed.

I still can't see him going to PSU, or thriving there, because he obviously wants to go to USC.

I never even knew that your parents had to sign.

Agree.  You'd think that if they're 18, they wouldn't need parental consent.

SunMo

so, pretty much everyone agrees that PSU will take a step back next year, the degree of that step is dependent on the play of Morelli and a young defense.

that being said, is it reasonable to say that with the '05 class and now the '06 class, they can be national title contenders in 2007 or 2008?
