That is kinda of disappointing.  Does anyone know if either one of these developments is due to the total amounts of scholarships PSU has to offer this year, or is that a moot point?

From what I read, they wanted Hunter to redshirt and sign in January 2007, but he didn't want to do that...

They also have 2 returning great starters at LB with some decent hopefuls waiting in the wings, and they've already added a couple of blue-chippers this year in Bowman and Gbadyu.

Would have been nice to get Hunter anyway, but oh well.

I'd actually like them to hold on the scholarships for next year. PA, NJ, and Ohio are loaded. DC has some crazy talent too. Not to mention there are only going to be 15-18 ships available. 

I want Marks, Hynoski, Wisnewski, Stupar, Bostick, Shariff Harris, Marvin Austin, Arrelious Benn, John Elliot, and Dan Matha to kick off next year's class.

I think Penn State gets at least Evans, Logan-El, Eliades, Taylor, Quarless, Wallace, and Walton.

Even 5 of those 7 guys would be a nice haul, but I think PSU gets all 7.

my predicts as far as the big guys go

eliades - va tech wrong

evans -  playing time will send him to virg...altho ups has an equal chance to get him...wrong but not 'outspoken'

hazelton - he would be insane to go to ups with the wr core they have...the bell verbal solidified hazelton elsewhere...winner

ale -  the gawd...ive said all a long hes the key to this class...even tho hes been downgraded to four stars recently...i still think he stays with his intial choice and stays at home to md...wrong

mccoy - prep...correct

quarless - ups...correct

taylor - md....wrong

walton - his love of lj (no homo) and playing time will bring him to the ups...correct

wallace - 50/50...lj is in deep with this cat but he really loves ohio st...however i dont see him going there with wells...ive seen him play numerous times in hs and imo he isnt all that at the rb position...but its well known he could move to cb...i just dont see him being a standout college player in general...heads are all over dook...but to me he isnt a must get...if i had to choose...in the end...its osu...wrong but not 'outspoken'


in the end i was mos def off...but its hardly as bad as youd like to portray it..especially when you consider that this class was more successfulthan pretty much anyone had hoped for...except you sensai

-- Hunter committed to Iowa

-- Fields is likely headed to Pitt

-- Update on VH1:  his dad had to work and couldn't make the trip, but he told JoePa that he's going to advise Vidal to reconsider USC and choose PSU instead.  Vidal is "50/50" right now and would like to try to talk with all QBs involved (Sanchez, Booty, Morelli, Devlin) before making a decision.
