bernie bernbaum is one of the great characters ever and should have won turturro an oscar

gabriel byrne and albert finney are amazing

even marcia gay harden isnt detestable

this is the kind of movie the coens should have always been making (along with fargo)...different but not trying too hard to be over the top...along with la confidential its one of two perfect movies in the decade

LA Confidential, huh? A good movie, no question, but Bassinger winning an Oscar for it was the biggest joke of the 90s in Hollywood.

goodfellas falls apart at the end and is 35 minutes to long

as for pulp fiction fabiennes taint should have been violated with a hot fireplace poker she was so annoying...thus it gets emininated

The end of Goodfellas was definitely the worst part of the movie. Pulp Fiction is about as good as it gets though. The only problem is that I, like millions of other people, loved it and have watched it so much that I'm fairly certain I could recite the movie from beginning to end and don't feel the urge to ever watch it again.

true but the fact that she gives about the 10th best performace in the movie speaks on how good it was...and you cant blame the film for some drunken sleeping pill poppin oscar voters...as i said its absolutely perfectly made...you cant even nitpick at something negative about it

she's barely in it, you gotta come stronger than that to knock it out of top position.  the scene in Jimmy's kitchen with Mr. Wolf alone compensates for any negative effects of Fabienne

i'm like that for almost all of those types of movies, except for Pulp Fiction.  anytime i flip through the cable channels and it's on, i have to finish it.
