The taterskins lacked the intensity early you'd have hoped they would have come with. However, they did bring it in the second half, playing with passion and a big physical nature. The impact of the injuries on the Eagles is they have players who simply can't hold the ball. We lose that game if the Eagles have their players. Of course, if they do, the game will have meant more in the first place.

We are in the playoffs.

And we're going to be dangerous.

What an incredible game. That defense is just amazing. I know special teams isn't neccessarily included but defensively we forced 6 turnovers in that game and i believe thats 15 or 16 in the last 4 games.

uhhhh......the game blew. both teams eat ass. and the special teams did a great job forcing dexter wynn to drop a simple punt. yup, hail to the taterskins. they are incredible.

Plus someone named Blade is keeping a blog for the trip....he said nothing remotley entertaining or interesting. He did throw in some references to smog in Philly (what?) and was surprised that an Eagles fan knew that he just talked to THE Sonny Jurgenson. What a dork.

They let Mike McMahon and Koy Detmer put up 20 points against them in what was a meaningless game to the Eagles...yeah, "amazing" defense.

If the Bucs weren't also pretty lame, I'd predict one-and-done for the 'skins in the playoffs. As it is, the entire NFC is pretty lame...whomever comes out of the NFC is going to get pounded in the Super Bowl.

I'm comfortable heading into this game because I feel we have the advantage. I also feel comfortable in knowing that the taterskins players and coaches never take any opponent for granted and never overlook the talent each team has.

That whole thing stems from a Reid quote where he said that he feels comfortable with Reggie at #1 next year.  If Brown did say that, then that'd be in response to a reporter mentioning Reid's quote... which is what Reggie is supposed to say.

I think (hope) AR is just giving bland, generic answers when it comes to WR questions because he's not going to "show his hand" for the offseason.  That'd be a huge mistake if he didn't pursue any other options at WR.

The Eagles took the great and powerful New York Giants to overtime at home. In fact, the Eagles probably win that game if that Akers FG doesn't take that inexplicable bounce off the crossbar and out. Does that mean that the Giants suck worse than we do?

I don't think you guys give yourselves enough credit. If McNabb doesn't give Roy Williams the biggest gift of the 2005 NFL season, the Eagles win that game over the Cowboys. I know it's a big difference with McNabb in there, but the fact of the matter is that of the 3 NFC East teams, Washington had the best showing in Philadelphia.


As for the Bucs game. The first time we played them, they beat us 36-35 on a 2 point conversion play that to this day I still haven't seen a replay showing Alstott crossing the goal line. So I have no idea why they would blow us out this weekend. I think both teams have a great chance of winning. Also worth noting that Sean Taylor was hurt and didn't play in that game against the Bucs, and whether you like him or not you have to admit that he is playing at extraordinarily high level lately. His presence in the secondary makes a huge difference.

Hmmm...when was the last time that Eagles fans were really down on a first round draft choice of a mobile QB....let me see here......I seem to remember the 1999 draft, they had the 2nd overall pick....and they took Donovan McNabb and they booed lustily at what a terrible pick it was.....Good call.... Well you guys were so dead on about McNabb that you must be right about Campbell.....I'll remember that if Bill Walsh isn't available, Eagles fans are the next best source for information on a QB coming out of college....your track record is impeccable.  And your team has done an outstanding job in the first round recently....I mean Freddie Mitchell, Jerome McDougle, Shawn Andrews, it's a who's who of young Pro Bowl players.

Are you seriously trash talking about the DRAFT? This is coming from the fan of a team that has had like 10 picks in the last 3 drafts combined. If you are seriously going to try to back up Campbell, you need to look at yourself. He's a 1st rounder. He has barely even been activated. Shoulderpad Shawn and his moronic friends at the draft booed because they wanted Ricky. BTW, Shawn Andrews is a Pro-Bowl alternate.
