Not now he isn't.  Next year, who knows...

Some interesting info on coaches' final voting

ie:
QuotePenn State was No. 3 on all but two ballots. Texas A&M coach Dennis Franchione had Notre Dame third and the Nittany Lions fourth. Arkansas coach Houston Nutt had Auburn third, just ahead of Penn State.

NFL prospects to watch:
BC = QB Quinton Porter...ILB Brian Toal**

Porter isn't even our starter anymore...he started off the season nicely but was injured in the our 3rd game vs. FSU, was never really the same after that and was replaced the 10th game of the season by Penn Charter grad Matt Ryan (sophomore and IMO a definite future NFL prospect).  BC's fans had been calling for Ryan to get the start since the 7th game of the season vs. Wake Forest, when Porter had an absolute atrocious game (almost as bad as McMahon on Monday night), got the hook in favor of Ryan with BC down 30-21 with 2:30 left in the ballgame, and Ryan stormed down the field twice to win 35-30.  Needless to say, of course, our stubborn-ass coach Tom O'Brien left Porter in at starter the next 2 games, Va Tech we probably wouldn't have won anyway but Porter also remained in until the very end of the game against UNC which directly led to a 16-14 loss (16-7 before Ryan engineered another late-game TD drive), despite our defense not giving up a single TD the entire game (UNC ran back the opening kickoff).  Ryan finally started the last 2 games and beat NC State 30-10 and 31-16 on the road.  Given that both those teams are better than UNC there's little doubt in my mind that had Ryan started in Chapel Hill we'd have blown them out, played in the ACC Championship game, and even with a loss to Va Tech would be getting ready for a trip to Atlanta to play LSU instead of farging Boise to play Boise State.  Sorry, rant over.  But yeah, Porter isn't getting anywhere near the NFL.

Toal is also a future 1st-round draft pick, spectacular WLB with decent size (may need to bulk up a bit) and great speed, hard hitter and has a knack for making big plays.  He's also been used as a short-yardage RB this season, has 21 carries for 50 yards and 6 TDs.  However he's questionable for the bowl game after suffering a shoulder nerve injury vs. NC State.  He's a sophomore and I expect him to stay at BC for all 4 years unless we have an absolutely spectacular season next year.

Kiwi is Kiwi and will likely go top 8, could even be the first defensive player drafted, and I wrote about Trueblood and Blackmon in the "Draft pick tracker" thread in the Eagles forum.

Reggie Bush Is Coming Out.

Some NFL team just got much better and they don't even know it yet.

MDS

Are you serious? That...that's just nuts.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I for one am stunned by this news.

STUNNED!
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?
