He was a speed guy.  I'm not sure he'll be able to come back from that as the same guy.

Yeah, I pretty much agree... even if he were to by some miracle make it back onto the field, he'll probably never have that same type of speed as a KR... not to mention range and speed as a safety.

Actually, after watching that I can actually see him coming back.  He seems to be walking around OK, and they said the only reason he hasn't been cleared to play (practice?) is that he still has some numbness in his foot.  If the nerve was severed it might be a different story, but it sounds like he's healing up well...
