well at this point we dont have to worry about some other team beating us with TO for a playoff spot, since we will never wind up getting one. he'll probably go somewhere and be very effective, shut his mouth and play football. But hopefully he doesn't make it to a playoff team, and some crappy team like Houston or the Jets pick him up.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

The Birds should put a waiver claim on him, and may end up being the team with the worst record willing to take him.  Then, they can suspend him again and run out the clock on this year.  It may be even better to release him, have GB pick him up, and then have Dawkins clean his clock this weekend.

:-D :-D :-D Aren't you a farging pollyanna.  This farging guy is way to stupid to shut his mouth.  He'll go somewhere, be effective and completely destroy another lockerroom.

That comment is retarded and incorrect on so many levels, even if it's an attempt at humor.

SunMo

not this year he won't, he'll be a perfect angel this year, and maybe even next year, but his true colors will come out, just not this year.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

BigEd76

It would set a bad precedent if that's what happens.  Don't like your contract?  Bitch, moan and destroy a locker room until they're forced into releasing you, so you can go wherever you want...

Sorry the attempt at humor tricked you.

PoopyfaceMcGee

It tricked no one.  It was simply unfunny.

The part about GB picking him up and Dawkins laying him out was good, though.  That would be nice.

for this year, i think he wont be to cancer if he goes to playoff team. remember, it took a year for him to do it here. i dont think hell go somewhere and do it, well, that is if he goes to a winner. all hell will break loose if he gets to the jets.

Exactly what I just said on another board, BigEd. First up--Chad Johnson next year, who HAS ALREADY STATED he was going to hold out from the Bengals unless they improved his contract.

You know what else I've been wondering? How can the NFL--and we're talking Tags here, allow Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to talk about signing Owens when he's not even available yet? I know the Eagles are going to cut him anyhow, but still--when Jones gave all the interviews last week, Owens was still under contract to the Birds.

Another thing--it was said in the Inky last week that in Owens' contract it states if he ever got suspended for more than one game, they could claim that portion of the bonus that everyone is talking about. If this is knocked down to a 2 game suspension, I wonder if they'd go after it.

farger should be making an announcement soon.  He said by noon today, right?

I disagree.  I think he will be a nicer guy than Marvin Harrison (unfounded claims of choking a 7 year old notwithstanding), and will be productive.  God help that team next season though if they aren't winning.

Father Demon

Oh, and I also agree that this is a terrible precedent.  I'd like to have faith that the arbitrator-Skins-fan guy made this judgement without personal feelings interference, but if the rumored decision is true, I just can't see how he did this without figuring "Screw the Eagles" or "Maybe the Skins will pick him up?"

MadMarchHare

Well, if he gets picked up on waivers without a renegotiation of his contract, expect it to get ugly quick.
