Of course you want them to play in the NC game. There is a chance they pull a Dallas vs Eagles and shock everyone.

Seriously. That's like saying, "Well, you knew the Patriots were the better team and would probably win, so do you wish the Eagles hadn't made it to the superbowl?" Idiotic.
Ok, let me change it slightly - consider just the outcome, would you rather lose the NC game, or win one of the other BCS bowls?

Lose the NC game.  If you win one of the other major bowls then you'll always wonder what you could have done had you had a shot at the title.  At least by playing and losing the NC game you know.

I still think Texas is the best team in the country and will prove it against USC in the Rose Bowl.

But if PSU gets a chance against either of those teams, they have a shot... especially if Williams comes back.

There's rumors on PhilliesPhans that ABC wants PSU/ND in the Fiesta Bowl if they can get VA Tech/Ohio State for the Orange Bowl...

I'd take that.  Although, what happens to LSU then?

Sugar Bowl vs West Virginia

Don Ho

Thank god Fresno State represented the WAC well.  Biggest game in the history of the school.  Got to give Pat Hill credit.  Guy will play anyone, anywhere to get his program some notoriety.  I love it!

they would be insane to not put PSU/ND together.

why would the Orange bowl pass on Penn State/VA Tech?
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

PSU/VA Tech makes me say meh.  PSU/ND makes me say "I gotta watch that game."

SunMo

yeah, i understand that, but my point is, why is the Orange Bowl giving up Penn State to the Fiesta, what do they get out of it?

Farg you MURP, I like VA Tech. ;) Congrats to the Penn Staters, I thought Paterno had completely lost his marbles, but what a great season. I never would have thought PSU would be so good and the Eagles would suck so bad. :'(

I agree.  I think Notre Dame is the better team (compared to VT), and that would be quite the game.

At least if PSU goes to the Orange, it won't be against Miami.  That would've sucked.

If you saw his pre-game interview, you might still think he's lost his mind.   "Yeah baby, We Are Penn State!"
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.
