We are so obsessed because it shows how good a franchise has been.....yours has none = not that good ours has the most, 5= very good.

and how many of those came when you were old enough to remember them being won?

Dallas has tradition on their side.

A tradition of boasting, preening, talking too much, and generally acting like jerks.  Makes perfect sense that a bunch of gloating thugs would play for Texas.  shteinhole state, dirtbag fans.

Cowboy fans,

To all those who are "visiting" our board, how long have you all been fans?  I am just curious.  It just seems most Cowboy fans I meet except for the very few from Texas I've encountered being here in Hawaii, a majority began cheering for the Cowboys in the 70's(great years for the franchise) and early 80's.  As a kid growing up in the late 60's early 70's(most of the70's) the birds sucked.  I mean really, really bad.  It was beyond embarassing.  I honestly used to think this team will never win.  Vermeil saved my teenage years as he finally turned these bums around.  Buddy Ryan at least made things fun, Kotite - not going there, Ray Rhodes gave us a little hope.

Eagle fans are sick of this crap.  At least when Dallas went 1-15 you still had 5 Super Bowl appearences to rest on.  We don't have squat.  Now that this season is shot we are all a little bitter, pissed off and disgusted.

Count your blessings that you don't have to experience the pain and misery we have for the past 40+ years.

I am 23 and my first memories are ofthe 1989 season.  I mentioned all that in another thread before the game.

I do feel bad for Eagles fans about that stuff and a post like this almost makes me feel guilty.  But you can always turn to the light side and root for Dallas.

MDS

the day i root for dallas is the day i snort coke with irvin and smoke crack with stillupfront. and also i guess i gotta find a girl, beat her. buy a trailer to live in, stop showering, talk like an idiot and live off of a steady diet of beer and racoon. doesnt seem like its gonna happen.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Jim O'Brien.  I remember there was a picture taken from behind the line of scrimmage as O'Brienwas kicking it.  Mel Renfro was so high off the ground he almost blocked it.

I'm 30 and was born in North Texas about an hour or so from Texas Stadium, that's what you do... You root for the Cowboys, every Thanksgiving as far back as I can remember the entire family gathered around the tv after eating and watched the game.  My first real memory of the Cowboys is getting Walt Garrison's autograph on a football and I was wearing a #11 Danny White jersey in the early 80's.  I think then the addiction started!

Yep. Two Morton INT's set up the game tying and winning scores. Beat by a rookie kicker with a few seconds left.
