What great TE did you want instead of Chad?  GET SHANNON SHARPE?

im talking about last spring when they knew lewis wouldnt be back...what did they do to address the TE position???...not to mention that lj had a fairly serious back injury

and when jr reed went down for life what did they do to address the kr situation...why do they not have a punt returner right now???...or better special teams??

why?...because they did nothing to address any of these spots with the money they had...the only thig they did was take their chances by drafting some potential special teamers...not good enough imo...

I think that they have addressed the TE depth situation very well. Again, I would take Lewis over any backup TE in the league and that is who they have.

I would take a dependable guy like Mahe who catches every farging ball and makes no mistakes over a flash who may turn it over at an inopportune time.

Why the excessive man-love for Reno Mahe?

Him and Josh Parry are stealing money.

i realize that everyone loves chadwick...but this aint 1999...dook is finished...yes at this particular time he was the best option but that doesnt excuse the fact that it had to come to this...and for you to think that hes the best back up te in the nfl a day after he was feeding alpacas full time youre insane....scratch that...more insane

lolol.....like there isnt anyone on the planet that can actually catch the ball AND return it without fumbling

Chad taking a little shot at TO today?

He says he loves Donovan and that he respects him as is honored to play with him.

They didn't upgrade because they didn't like anyone that was available.  The TE draft class for 2006 is much better than the 2005 one...

there were numerous veteran TE's on the free agent market that they could have gotten on the cheap....they instead decided to go with stephen spach...that falls under the not a good move category

none such category exists for this squad.

L.J. has a concussion, so if he can't go or will be very limited, would you rather have an injured Spach start?

being millions under the cap id rather have a competant back-up on the roster as opposed to pulling an ancient one footed morman off a ranch in utah

Or a TE who has great chemistry with McNabb, knows this offense like the back of his hand and is nice and well rested for the rest of the season.

well thats certianly one way to put it.

another is that the others are right and the backup TE position should not have been left to a vulcan to begin with.

but the injury/personel situation right now on the birds is in much dissarray.

Spach made the team because Thorn didn't.  No one said he was good...

Reid's plan worked out bad how? We have Lewis as the backup. Who would have been better?
