I don't know, man.  Maybe it's just me because my Dad died when I was a kid, but there's no fargin way I can conceive of him laying a smack on me as a grown man.

Maybe it's a cultural thing I'm not aware of?   Are there any latinos here on the site who can confirm or deny this type of activity?

Yeah, I have a few latin friends and their Dads still kiss them even though they're grown men..

By the way...that play (actually plays) by Uribe to go into the stands in the 9th was awesome.

Part of the Latin American culture is very demonstrative in expressions of affection among family, and even friends.

I get a chuckle at some of my parent conferences, because you can see the cultural evolution with some of the parents, who were raised in their native culture, and the student, who has a lot of "American" influence.  The parents, mom and dad, kiss their sons, but you can tell that the son is embarrassed by the semi-public display.

Teens are teens everywhere,  I guess.

They were just talking about this on the local talk radio, that ain't his son. It's Iguchi (SP) The local radio host thought it was a cub fan doctoring a photo, funny stuff hearing the other people convicing her it was for real, her last quote about it was "get a room".

Hats off to the White Sox.  They outplayed Houston and deserved it.  Please quit playing the Journey song though, it makes me want to slay everyone within a 4 block radius.
