That's Guillen's son...

I don't know, man.  Maybe it's just me because my Dad died when I was a kid, but there's no fargin way I can conceive of him laying a smack on me as a grown man.

Maybe it's a cultural thing I'm not aware of?   Are there any latinos here on the site who can confirm or deny this type of activity?

He's Hugging Ozzie like he wants some, that is just wrong :o

SunMo

it's a cultural thing, remember when Pudge and Urbina would kiss after Urbina saved a game for the Marlins a couple years ago?
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

PhillyPhreak54

Yeah, I have a few latin friends and their Dads still kiss them even though they're grown men..

By the way...that play (actually plays) by Uribe to go into the stands in the 9th was awesome.

Geowhizzer

Part of the Latin American culture is very demonstrative in expressions of affection among family, and even friends.

I get a chuckle at some of my parent conferences, because you can see the cultural evolution with some of the parents, who were raised in their native culture, and the student, who has a lot of "American" influence.  The parents, mom and dad, kiss their sons, but you can tell that the son is embarrassed by the semi-public display.

Teens are teens everywhere,  I guess.  :D

SunMo

the friggen NL hasn't won a World Series game in 2 years  :boo

Congrats Henchman, it's been fun already this morning at work with all these Sox fans on the south side. Make me jealous also :'(

Cheers phillymic. I still cannot quite believe it. I may have to get over for the Sox-Cubs games at the Cell next season, chanting "1908" during all nine innings! I wonder how Steve Bartman is feeling today? :-D

They were just talking about this on the local talk radio, that ain't his son. It's Iguchi (SP) The local radio host thought it was a cub fan doctoring a photo, funny stuff hearing the other people convicing her it was for real, her last quote about it was "get a room".

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Mad-Lad

Hats off to the White Sox.  They outplayed Houston and deserved it.  Please quit playing the Journey song though, it makes me want to slay everyone within a 4 block radius.

On a side note:

Here's to the Sixers having a magical season and getting smoked in the NBA finals to compete the "Kick in the Crotch Trifecta"!
