I think Oswalt's gonna get it done tonight.  No disrespect to Garland, but this is the first World Series game ever in the country Texas.  Talk about a rawkus crowd.

High school football gets more love than baseball in The Republic of Texas. Baseball is a way to pass time until he kids get out there on Friday nights.

But i think and hope Oswalt shuts them down tonight. I don't put much into the whole NL vs. AL angle because Ozzie played and coached in the NL. So he knows how to use guys. And the Sox aren't losing much by Everett being out of the lineup.

I think I'm taking Oswalt and the under (7) tonight.

Ok, I lied. I ended up taking The White Sox and the over tonight. The Astros are bitching about the roof too much for my liking. Plus the odds on the Sox are great (+167) and for laying 20 on that and the over (7) I can win $80.

But I backed it up by taking the Astros -1.5 and the under. A $10 bet on that wins me $33 so if I lose the first one I still win $13 overall.

Go White Sox! Eat those Crawford boxes up in LF!

E. Astacio (the 2nd coming of Corn Puffs) choked like a dog and gave up the lead with a homerun to Geoff Blum, then proceeded to load the bases and walk in another run.  I'm so glad i stayed up till 1 AM for this crap.  Work is gonna rule tomorrow when i get to talk to all the White Sox fans.

I met Lisa Dergan when the SB was in SD in 2002. She's really nice and -- believe it or not -- even hotter in person.

I finally succummbed to a little bit of much-needed sleep last night, but had the TV on and woke up intermittently. The game ended at 7:20am UK time! Don't know what to say but GO BLUM! One win away and I like our chances for the sweep as long as Garcia doesn't give up too many early runs. GO GO WHITE SOX!

the astros left about a dozen guys on base.  At one point chris burke wound up stealing 3rd, leaving a man on 1st and 3rd with 1 out.  Ugly.

Congrats White Sox.  Please don't start fires when you celebrate.
