Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I can't say that I am confident about this game at all.  That may be my hurricane anxiety talking, though.

San Diego 24
Eagles 10

I think the Eagles have to win this

Eagles 24
Bolts 13

i'll go against the trend phreak, Birds 28-17

Good job, T.

But now I see that not only are people picking them to lose, but they're picking a significant loss.

I don't have a feeling at all this game.  That's odd.

I'll go with:

Eagles 27
SD 23

This is going to be tough, but I'll be optimistic, as usual  ;)

Such a weird feeling all week towards the birds.  3-2 has a lot of people skeptical.

This game will be ugly, everyone will panic but birds will pull it out 27-23.

As I stated earlier if we can get through this 5 game stretch at 3-2 I'll be happy.  6-4 will put us in good shape.

Go Seahawks!

Kearse gets like a hundred tackles and 16 sacks. 'I have nothing to contribute.

Collection of useless stats:

Based on Jeff Sagarin's computer rankings: Chargers by 2 using Predictor (most accurate), or Eagles by 3 (overall rating)
The cool yards/point bendability index: Eagles 16.2,  Chargers 15.7  -  Edge Eagles (teams have to "work harder" to score)
Overall scoring defense: Eagles 20.2, Chargers 21 - Edge Eagles
Overall scoring offense: Eagles 24.5, Chargers 29.3 - Edge Chargers
Turnover ratio: Eagles +3, Chargers +1

My initial gut feeling was yet another embarrassment for the Eagles: 24-6
But I think Andy Reid's post bye-week mojo is going to save this one for us - Eagles win, 24-21
And the results for the useless stats predictors:
Sagarin: 0/1 - 1/0
Bendability: 1/0
Scoring D: 1/0
Scoring O: 0/1
Turnover Ratio: 1/0
C: 1/0

Interesting how some of these came into play:
- Extremely close game that could have gone either way in the last two minutes (Sagarin).
- Eagles dominated TOP, owned defense.  Eagles bendability slipped a bit this week, giving up quick scores.
- Scoring D definitely kept the Birds in the game.  17 points is the key number.
- Eagles +2 on turnovers today.

We'll see which of these have any merit as a predictor as the season progresses... I'd like to think something systematic would be more accurate than my homerific wild-ass guesses.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.
