So is Mcnabb getting another MRI done or something?
No he's scheduled for an abdominal  implant to replace his damaged model.

Akers should be put down like a lame horse. First he whines about his contract and then he starts the season 2 for 48 or whatever. Get his ass out of here.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

You know I hate the public contract crying...

But that was david Akers kicking the GW FG yesterday, ya know.

McNabb needs to not practice until Thursday. At ALL. Let his ab strain rest and heal and do whatever therapy Burkholder has in store for him.

Anyone but Reid.

But that won't help a hernia, if that's the problem.

I tend to believe Reid over Jay Glazer. Sorry.

Well, Reid didn't exactly deny it, PG. He stepped around the question. And McNabb didn't deny it either.

Reid said he viewed it as a abdominal strain now, yes. But he also said that they're hard to diagnose.

I'm not ruling it out especially after listening to Donovan.

Either way, he needs to rest up. We need him (obviously)

If he does start in KC he better not throw the ball more than 20 times. And if he does, he better have a ton of dink and dunk in there.

It's time to give Westbrook 25 carries and Gordon another 10-15. Shoot...how about activating Moats and giving him a few runs too.

But, doesn't Reid have a bit of a history of soft-pedaling injuries?

Just to speculate if it does turn out to be a hernia, if they determine that Donovan should have surgery, and if the recovery time is approximately 4-6 weeks (i.e., Dirk Johnson's sports hernia), maybe they should consider doing it now. They need a healthy Donovan for the stretch-run and playoffs more than they need him in October, IMO.

Hopefully, it is just a strain and he can play through it. I'd just hate to see it affect him all season long, or get worse in November/December, when it'll be too late to address for 2005.

What exactly is a sports hernia?
Will #5 be able to play through it long-term?
Is there any reason on Earth that David farging Akers will not be rested for the next few weeks until he's healthy?
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

I don't know if McNabb can play through it long term, but Duce played most of 1998 with one.

RE: Sports Hernia (also known as an Inguinal Hernia), from WebMD.com:

QuoteInguinal Hernia

Sports hernia

A sports hernia is an injury of the inguinal area caused by repetitive twisting and turning at high speed. This type of hernia occurs mainly in people who play ice hockey, soccer, and tennis.

Although the condition is known as a hernia, in many cases an obvious hernia is not seen. The main symptom is groin pain that may reach into the genital area. The pain can linger for weeks or months. Sports medicine experts think that the condition results from overuse of groin muscles, which causes stress on the inguinal wall.

A sports hernia can be difficult to diagnose. Often an athlete has had lingering groin pain for months. A health professional may note inguinal tenderness but find no bulge of tissue. To help diagnose a sports hernia, the athlete may be asked to perform maneuvers, such as sit-ups, to see whether they cause pain.

Resting the groin muscles for several weeks sometimes can resolve the problem, but in many cases surgery is needed to reinforce the inguinal wall. Competitive athletes may prefer to have surgery right away to resolve the problem.

The Inquinal area refers to the Inquinal canal, through which a male's testicles descend from their abdomen to their scrotum during prenatal development. For most adults, this canal closes by age two, but can stay open into adulthood.
