Man, that was one ugly win. McNabb was hurting and looked baaaad. Akers, what can you say, that was one of the most gutsy preformances by a kicker I've ever seen.

BigEd76

Says that they wanted to get to the 12 to give Akers a shot...

CSN postgame is all negative, asking if it was worth it to lose Akers for 2 months for one win...  :boom

i've said it for years, that is the single worst post game show i have ever seen. lead by our dumbass governor, and a career backup rb.

it sucks, i will not turn it on.

Akers up now

-- "I'm hurt pretty bad"
-- says he knew it was going to hurt for 1 second and had to suck it up
-- says Koy angled the ball differently because he didn't walk back as far
-- thought 30 yds was the absolute limit for him
-- says it hurts when he makes impact with the ball
-- "I want to be out there kicking every single time."
-- rehabbed hard all week and thought he was OK going into the game
-- says on that second opening kickoff, it felt like he was shot
-- says he wants to talk to doctors to get this straightened out because he felt like he let the team down with Oakland's starting field position

Eaglez

Yeah, I don't think anyone would loose any sleep if Mahe was deactivated for a week, or if Billy Mac took a seat so that we can rest a little bit more easily. Kickers are crucial. I think that was displayed in today's game. I don't want to hear anyone badmouth kickers.

He must of asked Doogs what it felt like..... :paranoid

-- felt bad about that missed XP by Simoneau because that could have cost them the game
-- wants to give 100% every week but can't right now and feels bad

BigEd76

-- says that this is an integrity thing, not a value thing (i.e. this has nothing to do with wanting a huge paycheck)

Eaglez

I love Akers spirit. But he also has to realize that he only hurts the team when he's not playing up to his potential. Lets hope for a speedy recovery, but we need another kicker on this active roster.

reading though this thread makes me laugh with all the bitchin.... :-D

Some thoughts:

- Collins had WAY too much time to throw the ball. D-line was getting handled in pass protection.
- Run D was superb today.  :yay
- Gotta give McNabb credit, he was wincing in pain the whole game but gave it his best effort.
- L.J. WTF?!?!?  :boom Such a good TE then fumbles it away for no reason.
- Great game for GLew  :yay
- Kearse was MIA.
- D'hani Jones had a fantastic game
- Westbrook  :yay
- Despite the score, we need to establish the run early to keep defenses honest.
- Bad game all around by Parry.
- Hicks had another poor outing  :boo
- Too many penalties  :boo
- No Turn overs today for the D and 2 for the O in the redzone  :boo

I can already hear their list of excuses:

- The Refs
- League wide conspiracy
- Drunkenkowsi had a hangover
- Moss was high
- Sapp was too worried about getting across the bridge to Camden before the end of the game

PhillyGirl

The refs?

Love the play where they blew the play dead while Westy was still running with the ball.  :yay ::)
