I moved Simoneau to field goal/extra point kicker and Bartrum is now limited to kickoffs.

I'm playing the Superstar bit at the moment. Using a RB who now plays for the Eagles.....finally. I use him Westy style, but he can run it between the tackles. My problem is getting his points maxed. He's had three 1500+ rushing seasons, with 16+ TDs each. He's stuck at a 93 overall. Anyone got any tips?

maybe do the training camp competition at the start of the season and use him in the areas were he is below par.

Tried that. Not only is it boring as shtein, but now that he is on the Eagles, he has to do it against Trot, Kearse, Dawk, Lewis, etc. It was easier when he was drafted by the Niners. Looked like LT during practice.  :-D Meh, I'll figure it out.

The first two seasons I changed to 3 minute quarters, just ran his ass off to get the stats I wanted him to have. Superstar is much different the Franchise mode, just as fun, but different.

Just have a great season and demand a trade. I think the contracts are a year long, then head for the hills.

So, I had a huge professional exam on Monday.  Because of the amount of study needed to prepare, I didn't get Madden until Monday night.  I have to say that I think the graphics are slightly better, and I like the realism of the new passing method... but it's HARD.  Plus, it took be a while to get the rosters close to accurate.

Anyway, it definitely makes a difference if you make the possible roster adjustments before entering franchise or superstar mode.  I tried two different guys in superstar mode briefly so far.  I lose interest quick.  I just prefer the franchise mode.

Anyway, it's disappointing only because of the lack of improvement overall from 2005.  Still, it is the best football game ever put out... just not much better than the 2nd best.

Another farged up thing I noticed, if you are playing Franchise and NOT controlling Kearse on D, he sucks. He gets pancaked or pushed back into the secondary on almost every play, but he is so-so against the run. If you sub in Jamal Green, he's a beast. He's got like six sacks in seven games. Every time he gets one, Madden makes a comment about his speed.....what the farg?

Another thing, C-Buck bitches his ass off for not starting, constantly. He is awesome between the tackles, but is horrible on the edge and in the passing game where Westy excels.

Has anyone finished a season in Franchise yet? Need some advice.....

I noticed that about Buck also.  And Hugh Douglas bitches if you don't start him too.  So, i cut Hugh.  I keep Buck because i usually run for about 200 yards and catch 100 yards with Westbrook in the first half.  The i sub in Buck to keep his mouth shut.

I always control Kearse and he flies across the line.  I pull him back into LB mode a bit too.  He's so fast.

When you're riding in a time machine way far into the future, don't stick your elbow out the window, or it'll turn into a fossil.

I finished a season.  I didn't have the Kearse problems you did and i never controlled him.   Sheldon Brown broke a record with 17 ints (7 or 8 were user pics), my entire OL went to the pro bowl, and i lost Westbrook in the NFC title game to a severe concussion.  I then lost Mike Lewis for the Superbowl and had to use Mikell.

Eagles Superbowl.  Buckhalter didn't bitch, but my fanbase sucked.  that didn't make much sense.

MURP

get rid of Buck and get Gordon.
