I don't really mind the taterskins or their fans (suprising, I know, given how much time I spend on ES), but there is some strange amusement I get from watching them fumble away games against Dallas.  I was rooting for them tonight though obviously, so nice win.

For PhillyPhreak:

Picking just one idiot on this board to reply to was a difficult task, but you made it a bit easier.  Contrary to your opinion, Skins fans did not celebrate "like we won the SB".   I've done that three times, and it's entirely different.  Also, I didn't have time to round up your mom, two Mexican midgets, a can of whipped cream, and a camcorder.

Enjoy last place for another week, asshair.

1. I'm honored you chose me. I really am.

2. Although I was in part referring to Skins fans celebrating - your f'ing team was celebrating like they win the goddamn Super Bowl. Gatorade bath for the coach in week 2? Weak.

3. Mom jokes are always good too.

Now go farging die, icehole. Eat poison, shoot yourself in the head or get hit by a bus...whatever.

I'm not one that worries about a loss at this point, personally. I think that taterskins fans that get all excited over beating us at home are no better than Cowboy fans who talk about winning 12 out of the last 14, or whatever it is. It means nothing in the grand scheme of things, especially in the 2nd week of the season.  I don't put any more into this loss now than I did when we beat NY on MNF in '03. Our D that year performed the same the rest of that year(Solid, no big plays), and our offense never improved.

I learned long ago that nothing is a given, let alone in sports. There are far too many intangibles involved. I was a Cowboy fan through the 70's and early 80's, a great run that included some great teams but teams that came up short often as well. Nothing lasts forever, and nothing should be taken for granted, but things do run in cycles as well.

Syracuse

Both of these teams should be kicked out of the league for being so lousy. That was the worst MNF game ever.
Replace them with two D-1 AA football teams, anything would be better than that crap.
Just sofaking awful.

I like that Brunell kept his job with the late heroics, because let me tell you... he's DONE.  Nothing left.

Things I love...

1) Watching the pathetic taterskins give Gibbs a Gatorade bath in week two for winning a game. Has there ever been a more blatant proclaimation that even the taterskins know how terrible they are?

2) After winning the first two games and scoring a whopping 23 points, a taterskins troll felt it was time to come over and talk shtein, even throwing in the Steve-Spurrier-Era Early-Season-Battle-Cry, "We're in first place!" Enjoy it. Your team eats ass.

3) Brunell keeping his job for at least another week.

4) Any division rival choking away a game.

5) Watching two division rivals' quarterbacks get POUNDED for 60 minutes. Both Bledsoe and Brunell took a beating last night.

Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Christ. Down here it is like they won the SB. They are creaming all over themselves, and talking shtein because they are in first place. I hate the taterskins, but now hate the Cowboys slightly more for letting the iceholes steal one from them. Can't wait for the Eagles to steamroll them.  :yay

If I still lived down there today would be unbearable. Thank god I have no Skins fans around me any more. What a joke.

I personally would rather the Cowboys do it, because I live in DC and loathe the Skins and their shtein fans. They are completely devastated after losing to the Cowgirls. But again, if the boys win...they could use it as momentum.....kind of torn on this one. I hate them both, but think I hate the Skins more. Thoughts?  ???

I'm in the same boat as you.  I live in DC too.  I was listening to the game on the radio last night on my way home and the Skins were down 13-0.  Sonny Jurgenson was disgusted and calling them all bums as usual.  I was actually coming up with things in my head to say to all my co-workers today.  And I was happy.  Then Moss had to go farg it all up.  I hate the Skins so much.  I thought for sure Dallas was gonna pull off some miracle play at the end to break their hearts.  I feel weird ever rooting for Dallas but I actually hate them less than washington.

They farging gave Gibbs a Gatorade bath. In week 2. I can't get over how pathetic that is.

"My pack of losers finally beat Dallas. Now let me go rap up the NFC East and resign Bruce Smith and Jeff George."

"Art, that feels weird. Move a bit to the left."

"I just got the best handjob in the world! Oh yea, and we won some game."
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Ugh, the few people that I have blessed with talking to today act as if the won the friggen Superbowl.
