i don't think it matters what offense they run until they figure out who is calling the plays.   their asinine system of play-calling the past few years has made the offense terrible.  it should be one guy making all the calls.

He has a point I think.  Confusion on the sideline leads to confusion on the field.  Anyway it would be a pleasant change for JoePa to play three freshmen for once.  King and Williams would be hard to keep off the field but I didn't Sargeant to see playing time for awhile.
Fletch:  Can I borrow your towel for a sec? My car just hit a water buffalo.

Larry Johnson will probably never learn to shut his mouth...

QuoteChiefs | Johnson Wants Chance to Start
Fri, 26 Aug 2005 12:33:52 -0700

Elizabeth Merrill, of the Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs RB Larry Johnson wants a chance to start somewhere. "I don't want to waste three or four years of my prime running behind somebody, period. I don't care who it is. I feel like I should start somewhere in this league," Johnson said. As the No. 2 back behind starter Priest Holmes, Johnson is expected to see more action this season. Offensive coordinator Al Saunders said they expect him to be a "major contributor" in 2004 and added Johnson has matured a lot. Despite that, Johnson said himself that he still has an "attitude problem" and wants his chance to be the guy.

A football player (especially a running back) only has so many really good years.  Lamont Jordan was not happy being #2 the entire time in New Jersey, and Larry Johnson shouldn't be happy either.  At least he's not complaining about money; he just wants to play while he's still young.

It never really made much sense for the Chiefs to draft him in the first place.

it didn't make sense because they needed so much help on defense.  but that was the year that Holmes had that serious hip injury and they weren't sure they he was going to come back.

That's hilarious.  I could have gone to Florida State FOR FREE.  Books, tuition, room & board...

and I instead decided to pay full price for Penn State.

If you followed his recruitment like I did, the whole Florida State choice just seems wrong. He preached academics first, football second. So he goes and picks a mediocre Florida State.

It really seems like he got caught up in the bullshtein FSU put on. They had Jeb Bush write him a letter telling him to attend FSU, and they had the student body sing "Everybody get your Rolle on..." when he walked into the cafeteria.

I think the brother attending school with him pushed his toward his choice as well.

I only wonder if Myron's getting more than Ernie Sims or Xavier Lee when they signed.
