I dont expect much of anything from McCants, but ill give the guy a shot.   People forget that players like Darwin Walker and Keith Adams were also rejects for their former teams.   Never know what you might get.

Sorry if this crashes the party, but has this actually been confirmed anywhere??  Nothing on PE.com and can't get on Philly.com for some reason.

Oh my god! Maybe we aren't actually getting McCants! Where is the confirmation?!

I think I just pooped a little.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

The reports indicate that the Eagles won't sign him until Friday, because they'd have to release a player before tonight's pre-season game that could contribute with some playing time if they didn't wait.

But, you're right.  It isn't done until it's done.

That was a very Forrest Gump-ian like post.  ;)

As long as he brings he cheap booze and hookers with him.

The current slant is that NFL Network is trying to create suspense, saying that Price and his agent contacted the Eagles because Price really wants to play in Philly, so the Eagles are mulling options and will announce after the game tonight which WR they are choosing.

Personally, I think that's a BS story.

Ditto.

Price check: Approximately 15 teams checked in on the availability of former Falcons wide receiver Peerless Price. He's mapped out a preliminary plan. He will visit the Miami Dolphins Thursday and then see the Dallas Cowboys Friday. He has some West Coast visits for over the weekend and next week and he would like to see the Eagles. Price would like to get something done by over the weekend or early next week.

Hmmm... which is more reliable...

I'll say neither, but I think it's a moot point anyway.  The Eagles have obviously already decided on McCants.

rjs246

I would giggle a bit if they did end up signing Price for some reason. That would be strange.

Would shock the hell out of me. I just don't see any reason to bump Lewis down....or Brown for that matter.

Just because they sign Price doesn't mean they'll put him over Lewis and Brown, or he'll be able to pass them. I think Price is better, but its such a minor addition to the football team that isn't irrelevent if they even sign someone. I think we can manage just fine with either/both McMullen and Perez in the 4 spot. But since a WR would be coming in here for a Banner cap-friendly deal, it can't hurt.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

PoopyfaceMcGee

I like that there's some suspense, but I still think it will be McCants.
