Do the Eagles get a comp pick for Simon?

I thought they did for sure, but I've read some mixed reports.  Even saw that Lenny P said they would not get a comp pick in this situation.        Simon signing a big deal with the Colts is a good start to getting a high comp pick...

Because it was past the UFA signing period. I read that somewhere...I think someone here linked it in the Eagles release Simon thread.

Nope.  The compensation period ended on July 22.  They don't get anything for Jeff Blake, either.  Damn...
