Yeah, I'm biased, but I think the Eagles have a no. 1 defense in the makings. They look dominant in every aspect, line, linebackers, defensive backs, every player is making plays. The d-line was all over Palmer, with Kearse and Kalu getting great penatration off the corners. Trotter leads a much improved linebacking corps from last year, and the secondary/defensive backfield just keeps getting better, and better with great young players.

I can see this defense shutting down other teams. They're smothering, and have big play capability across the board. There is no weak spot, just pro-bowlers. It makes me laugh when I remember Mike Greenie on Mike and Mike in the morning saying that the Eagles were done when TO was holding out weeks ago, saying The Giants or Dallas will take the division. Sheeeet, they'll be lucky to score anything but a field goal against this defense.

I love JJ's defense. I love the personel and the speed and the scheme. And having said that, I don't ever see one of his defenses being #1 in the league. They'll always be good at keeping teams out of the endzone and that's all I care about, but for as long as he's been with the birds they've always given up large chunks of yardage and I can't imagine why that would suddenly change.

Well, most teams are gonna' be coming from behind, so that means they'll be throwing the ball, which means that you might not see those chunks of yards 'cause most the time they come on the ground, running the ball.

I can't wait for those games. I just love whipping up on the Skins, it will be great seeing what D-mac and that high powered offense does to their defense.

Which is the bottom line. People tend to forget we had our scrubs in vs. the Bungles and Rams starters the last two games of the season. Also, this Skins D is minus Pierce and Smoot who were described as 'Core Skins'  (by their fans) last season.
