QuoteLESS IS MORE FOR SLIMMER REID

August 22, 2005
By DAVE SPADARO

You've probably noticed a thinner Andy Reid at the podium during Eagles press conferences this summer.
That's because Reid has found a weight-loss strategy that's working for him and he's already shed 45 pounds with the L A Weight Loss program.

Today, The Philadelphia Eagles and L A Weight Loss Centers invite fans to join Andy in his weight loss efforts by signing up for the Eagles Season Slim Down -- a new twist on the successful L A Weight Loss program which will provide Eagles fans with incentives and rewards for making healthy choices and losing weight.

The program kicks off on Tuesday, August 23 at 27 Centers with a week-long open house. Fans who sign up for the Slim Down will be joining a team that provides support and motivation for healthy living and weight loss all season long.

Eagles fans can visit the centers to meet and receive an autograph from an Eagles cheerleader, register to win a piece of autographed merchandise, and sign up for the L A Weight Loss program at a discount.

During the season, various prizes will be awarded to Slim Down participants. Prizes include game tickets, VIP tours of the NovaCare Complex and Lincoln Financial Field, and autographed merchandise.

L A Weight Loss is proud to congratulate Coach Reid on his early success with the program. Reid enjoys a positive relationship with L A Weight Loss Centers and their registered dietitians who have created a customized meal program just for Coach Reid. It is this personalization and dedication that have made the difference for Reid.

"What we have done for Andy is no different than what we do for our clients every single day," says Dara Zaidman-Steiger, Director of Nutrition Services for L A Weight Loss Centers and Coach Reid's personal registered dietitian. "We know it's difficult to lose weight, especially when you are on the road and under as much pressure as Andy is during the season.

"L A Weight Loss provides the accountability, support and education Andy and the rest of our clients need to be successful at losing weight. And we're thrilled for his success so far."

Reid is proof that healthy choices pay dividends.

"It's been working for me and I'm pleased with the results," says Reid. "I understand that weight loss is a marathon, not a sprint, and I'm looking forward to staying focused on the program."

My response is this:

We're fat, we're drunks, we're Eagles fans, so you can take your weight loss schemes and shove 'em up your ass.

:evil

<<< Disclaimer - I have to admit, though, I'm glad that Reid has started losing some weight.  He was getting scary fat. >>>

181.5 this morning.  I ate like crap and drank too much this weekend.  Back on the wagon this morning, though.

good for Big Red.  Not that he wont keep it up, but doesnt he lose weight every offseason and then pack it back on during the season?  Seems to be a trend.

He used to (from old articles I've read) just watch what he ate and would lose in the offseason. But LA weight loss is a strict plan...good to see him on it. :yay

Yeah that's what I've noticed too. Those late nights in the office it's so easy to order a pizza or make a run out to Mickey D's.

Baltimore needs to get Rex Ryan on a program too. He looks like he has a midget in his colon, who's trying to punch his way out.
