I didnt see the Saints/Pats game last night so maybe im missing something, but why in the world did Deuce McCallister rush the ball TWENTY times in a preseason game?

He was playing into the 3rd quarter, I saw that much.

they're trying to get their money's worth.  apparently, he'll average 40 carries/game in the regular season.

Or maybe there's some sort of secret clausE in the contract that says they don't have to pay him shtein if he gets hurt.  So rather than fork up the money they're trying to kill him.  :paranoid

Yep...i wondered the same thing when i looked at the box score.  The starters (including Brooks) were still in there during the 3rd.  I thought that was kind of stupid.  They would be paying for it now if Deuce had gotten hurt.  I guess they thought the only way they had a chance to keep it close was by doing that....and they still got whooped by NE's backups.

Uhh....New Orleans won the game. Either way, it was pretty stupid to leave them in so long, and Aikman droaning on and on about Jamal Brown, kid was okay, but not as great as they made him sound. The game in and of itself was incredibly boring to watch, I killed it after the third quarter.

Apparently Brooks played four (4) minutes into the fourth quarter.  Word on the street has it that Bellicheck and Haslett had an agreement to play the starters well into the third.

My bad...last night on NFL.com...they had listed the Pats up 37-27 at one point.  I went to sleep after that.  Oops!!
