Not about billy mac, but dawk had a great quote yesterday:

Quote
"You have to have something wrong with you a little bit to play on the defensive side of the ball. You have to relish or love the fact that you are going to run into somebody at some point. You can't shy away from contact, and you have to be willing to suffer the consequences, because sometimes those big hits hurt."
"Oh, yeah. They'll still boo. They have to. They're born to boo. Just now, they'll only boo with two Os instead of like four." - Larry Andersen

He should consult with TO because he had big problems with drops early in his career as well.
More Mahe please.

If he could just be a guy who comes in this year and can contribute 20-40 catches, help get some first downs and just contribute I will be happy with that.  Even if it is just 1-3 catches per game, that move the chains and helps the team, and if he can learn to use his size in the running game to help open up holes outside or in the slot that would be great.

16-48 catches on the year is a big difference in production. ;)

Remember the playoff game when he dropped everything that came his way?  Then he caught the winning touchdown from Steve Young and everything changed for him.

Sometimes it just takes one play to turn a career around.  Hopefully, Wilbur will get his shtein together and put together a monster season.  I doubt he will but you never know...

He can just be a real weapon. I think everyone hates when someone is that physically gifted but his head is in the sand. Confidence makes or breaks players. Even with all the feats of undersized athletes it still seems like media publications and fans play down the mental aspect of the game. Its something extremely hard to gauge but when a player has it they seem to become virtually unstoppable in the sense that they just get it done week in and week out (i.e. Tom Brady).

Yeah, I was thinking about that play, which, incidentally, is the reason why Reid is here coaching.
