I feel bad for Pinkston if he's done. I really do.  :(

Both injuries don't sound too serious.   McNabb says Bucky appears OK, and if Pinky suffered an Achilles rupture, you wouldn't need an MRI to figure that out.

And Chatman was given the same RFA tender as Westbrook: 1st round compensation....The Bolts ain't giving him up.

The Bolts released him, bro.

Ooops.  Nice to be up to date on things. :-D

And the Pinky news is a little distressing.  I wonder if the Lehigh turf had anything to do with it. :'(

More Mahe please.

I'm confident that Lewis will step in for Pinkston.

And Reuben Frank said that Buck seems to be OK

As an Eagles fan and tall(ish) skinny man, I've always tried to root for Pinkston, but I just can't say I'm that upset about losing him. Getting Brown and Greg Lewis on the field should be beneficial and I think that Lewis can do the same sort of 'run deep and draw coverage out of the middle of the field' sort of thing that Pinky has done. So like I said, no tears from this guy.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Just talked to my dad and he said if Pinkston's achilles was RUPTURED, they'd have known it right away because the foot completely flops. There is nothing to hold the foot up. This is why the Achilles rupture injury is usually one of the first ones to be reported when it happens. it can be reported from the field.

It could be a tear, just depends on the severity of it as to if/when he'd come back this year. He said ANY strain, bruise or tear (slight or not) of the Achilles makes it almost impossible to walk on it for a little bit without severe pain.

just wanted to pass that along.

It's up to YOU, Greg Lewis!

It really stinks that Todd's hurt.  I don't see Reggie Brown as being a legit #2 yet and apparently Billy's not the brightest, most confident receiver in the leauge.  Ugh.  SONSABITCHES!

Hasn't he had issues with his Achilles before?  I'm thinking of a Dallas game within the last few years...  ???

DH

I dont want to jump to any conclusions but IF pink is out for the year or even an extended period of time, I think our WR tandem of TO and GLew w/ Reggie in the slot is better than TO and Pink on the ends with 84 playing sultan. Just my thoughts, although I hope Todd is ok.

I think that was turf toe....b/c he missed the NYG game that Feely pissed away the next week.

BigEd76

Wasn't it this time last year that we were all worried about a potential season-ending injury to Koy?  :P

QuotePinkston, Buckhalter Suffer Injuries

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Two key Eagles left Friday morning's practice with injuries.

Receiver Todd Pinkston was carted off the field with an injured Achilles, and running back Correll Buckhalter limped off with a knee injury. The severity of both injuries has yet to be announced. Pinkston will undergo an MRI.

After practice, Buckhalter limped out of the team's workout facility and, before getting into his car, said the knee was "just sore."

"[It's] nothing serious," Buckhalter said. "I'm alright."

Pinkston's occurred when he was tripped up on a fly route down the sideline. Pinkston was covered closely by cornerback Matt Ware, tripped while the ball was in the air and remained down for several minutes before limping to the medical tent.

Buckhalter missed all of last season after tearing the patellar tendon in his right knee during the preseason. He missed all of the 2002 season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in minicamp.

Receiver Terrell Owens, who is day-to-day with left groin inflammation, did not practice Friday morning.

i'm not tall and skinny. but i am with you on this...i tried to like pinkston, and even defended him in some kind of way...but he has not improved at all in over 2 seasons. thats just not good enough for me.

i'm fine with brown or lewis seeing more time.

If he walked to the medical tent, its IMPOSSIBLE that its a ruptured Achilles.

Buck probably has knee fatigue...working that hard on a knee that didn't play last year. Understandable. Tis what camp is for.
