Quote"We are going to keep everything quiet," Rosenhaus said after the meeting. "I am going to go home and let Terrell focus on football. We'll stay in touch with the team. I thought it was worthwhile and productive and I'm happy that we had the chance to sit down. We'll continue with the process quietly, behind the scenes and efficiently."

Damn. He must have gotten bitch slapped hardcore in that meeting. I can see it now. Drewie walks in and sees Reid and Banner sitting there.

Drew: "Hi"

Banner: "Not another dime until we feel like giving it."

Reid: "Now get the farg off our campus."

Drew: "Ok. Sorry TO, I tried..." Walks out patting TO on the shoulder.

Prediction:

TO fires Rosenfarg by December 1st.

Hopefully, he hires my wife's cousin-in-law, and I become an Internet hero because I have all the inside scoop.   :paranoid
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

"TO gave a big smile of relief, as Koy Detmer was able to extract Drew Rosenhaus' head, preventing him from further blowing of smoke up TO's ass. Detmer later presented Rosenhaus' severed head to Andy Reid as a trophy."

On a side note, its good to at LEAST see him laughing and looking like he's having a good time.  IMO, he feels a lot better by being there and having this whole thing "over" with (Rosenhaus gone, him at camp, things working out).

It does appear that way early on, and that's a good sign. I'm just apprehensive that this could all blow over in a few days after everything that was said and done for the past four months, but I'm hopeful.

I think everyone is...but TO's actions (sending Rosenhaus home, clearing the air with AR and Banner, NOT talking at ALL to the media as much as he's been pressed to (100 people a day YELLING at him for a response))....are showing me that he just wants to get the season started.

And of course the media, because he's not talking...writes something like this

QuoteOwens is not a friendly camper
By Ashley McGeachy Fox

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - While the other Eagles veterans joked on the sideline yesterday during a special-teams drill at the end of practice, Terrell Owens knelt away from the fray, quiet and alone. Apparently, he wanted to stay that way.

But the jovial Hugh Douglas, a vocal team leader, approached Owens, essentially extending his hand to the man who has caused such a stir with his contract demands. Owens hardly looked at the defensive end as he got up and walked away, leaving the brushed-off Douglas less than happy.

"I was just trying to be nice," Douglas said later, after Jeremiah Trotter calmed him down, told him to give Owens some time, and promised to talk to the disgruntled wide receiver. "He's in a situation where he's trying to get something done, so he's probably a little upset. In a situation like that, I think the best thing to do is give him some space and let him work it out."

Despite cordial statements after a brief meeting with team officials, things between Owens and the Eagles are far from nice and, given the club's repeated stance that it will not renegotiate Owens' contract, they might not improve for some time.

Owens and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, briefly met with coach Andy Reid and team president Joe Banner yesterday afternoon at Lehigh University. According to a team source, Owens hardly spoke.

"We had an opportunity to say some things," Rosenhaus said afterward. "They had an opportunity to say some things. One thing I did commit was we are going to keep everything quiet. We're happy that we had the opportunity to visit.

"You know, I'm going to go home and let Terrell focus on football. We'll stay in touch with the team... . It's always good when you're talking. It's always good to meet, and all the key principals were involved."

Said Banner: "Our position is that we understand his feelings and are glad that he is here. We are glad he is committed to focusing on football, and trying to have a good year. Our position has always been that he has a contract, and he needs to honor it, and that continues to be our position... . But I don't think it would be fair to say that T.O. left... frustrated."

As the players filed out of the locker room onto the practice field, they were greeted by a bevy of cameras and reporters, waiting to see Owens. When Donovan McNabb walked by, he mimicked a reporter, saying in a deep voice, "Here's Donovan with the veterans, and look who's coming."

Sure enough, there was Owens, grabbing a last drink before the training-camp session. Wearing white tights, black shorts, and a green No. 81 jersey, Owens jogged onto the field carrying his helmet in his right hand. He played catch with receiver Todd Pinkston.

Joining the offense, Owens caught several passes from McNabb, including one deep ball. He was on the closing end of a double reverse. He ran in motion, and from the slot, and from out wide.

In a seven-on-seven drill, Owens dropped a ball over the middle as he was defended by Sheldon Brown, and twice McNabb overthrew him deep, including once when Owens was covered by three defensive backs. Owens caught several other passes from McNabb.

Owens talked to team trainer Rick Burkholder but rarely, if ever, spoke to his teammates, including the quarterback. After watching Owens sprint through a double reverse, Trotter called out: "I see you running, T.O. I see you, 81."

"I thought he looked good, real good," Reid said. "He had the one drop out there, but he had a couple of nice grabs, and looked fast and strong and everything else."

Today, Owens and the rest of the Eagles will put on the pads, practicing before what should be a raucous crowd. The only fan reaction to Owens yesterday was from a passing car. The occupant shouted, "T.O.! T.O.!"

Maybe today Owens will talk. He didn't yesterday, although Rosenhaus promised that when Owens "feels comfortable, he definitely will."

After practice, Owens left the training facility, walked to his massive green Chevrolet pickup truck, and grabbed a basketball. He headed for a hoop near the parking lot. Wearing monster headphones and a white tank top that showed off his ripped torso, Owens took 74 shots, going 7 for 9 from three-point range and 41 for 65 from the foul line. That wasn't a great free-throw percentage, but it was better than Shaquille O'Neal's .531 career percentage.

O'Neal, by the way, signed a five-year, $100 million contract yesterday.
wtf does this have to do with ANYTHING?  :boom

T.O. didn't get anything, other than a carrot. If he performs to the level he did last season, the Eagles will consider paying him the nearly $8.2 million his contract calls for in 2006, a team source said. By asking for a new contract, it is clear that Owens doubts he will ever see that money, since NFL contracts are not guaranteed.

Yesterday, Owens wasn't the only player looking for a new deal. While stretching after practice, Douglas asked for one.

"Where's Joe [Banner]?" Douglas said to no one in particular. "I want to renegotiate for a package of Milk Duds and a box of crackers. And if I don't get it, I'm leaving camp."

Owens isn't leaving. But when he starts talking remains to be seen.
(I think we all know that's the real issue here.  ::) )

I'm getting a pretty good laugh out of TO acting as if the the media isn't there while they swarm around him.

The video I saw on CSN showing the media circled around him while he shot hoops was fargin excellent! They said on PE.com that the media stood around him--presumably hoping for a sound-bite--and were retrieving his shots, and all he'd say was a polite "Appreciate it" as they returned the ball to him.     :-D

I saw that article too (the "appreciate it" article) and was laughing too. Classic. The media camped out there for days and all they've gotten is a silent TO. They are all probably being screamed at by their bosses.  :-D

LOL.  Stream of consciousness babble from Ashley?

Who'da thunk it?

I made the error of turning on WIP (in the hopes that Angelo wasn't on) just now and he's basically telling people to boo TO when he comes out of the locker room.  ::)  Yeah, that'll help asswipe. I'm sure he'll be cheering Westbrook on just fine.

He's crying that TO hasn't talked to the media and is pouting around camp not talking like a little baby. So, if he talks to much, he's a selfish icehole, if he doesn't talk, to avoid further issues...he's a little baby?
