PETALUMA, Calif. (AP) - Spencer Dryden, the drummer for legendary rock band the Jefferson Airplane, has died of cancer. He was 66.

Dryden, who died at his home Tuesday, retired from performing 10 years ago, although he hadn't been working much before that.
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

I can remember my grandmother watching Johnny when I was growing up.  She'd let me watch him with her (heck, I was allowed to stay up late! Even though I'd be asleep within 30 minutes  :-D).   Thanks to Johnny for some good memories.  Give Grandma a laugh up there, will ya?
