Strictly a center but who knows. When Jurgens got hurt last year we had to slide Dickerson over because he was the only competent center so this pick makes some sense.

Drew Kendall – iOL – Boston College

3-year starter at center in an extremely run-heavy offense that used both zone and gap schemes with pro verbiage. A sawed-off prospect with solid athleticism, he gets by with good hand usage and an understanding of angles, leverage and timing. He lacks power, explosiveness and range at the position. I like his anchor well enough, he can hold up vs NFL power inside, and he might be able to get you out of a game in a pinch, but I don't see a long-term starter. Backup center-only for a zone-blocking outfit. He has the makeup to potential rise to starting quality, but the lack of top-end tools tell me it's a safer bet that he's more of a backup long-term.
