what should be added in here is the in howie we trust part...there were a ton of 2-3 round safeties available here rated higher than mukuba and he passed on them all to take this dood...i think slot corner flexibility had something to do with it but he deserves the benefit of the doubt

Wasn't on my draft radar but I understand the pick. Coverage safety who can play centerfield. They already have 2 physical safety's and a heavy front 7 for run support. Fangio obviously knows what he's doing

Andrew Mukuba – S – Texas

4-year college starter at two blue-blood programs (first at Clemson, then at Texas). Physical safety who brings an edge to the position. Runs the alley with bad intentions and can finish 1-on-1. Not a high-level athlete but certainly is an adequate one and showed little panic when pressed downfield in isolated situations against WRs. On the skinny side, and his play strength may come into question, but I think he plays bigger and faster than how he will time and measure. Smart zone coverage safety who can find his way to the ball and he could develop into a solid starter down the road, partcularly for a split safety zone defense. Unlikely to be a consistently impacfful player in the box score.
