if 1997 had gone terribly (4-12, lets say), rhodes gets fired. lurie liked they way they finished with hoying and that saved him.

they are in a giant mess of teams with 4 wins, including the chargers. so its ryan leaf (!), charles woodson. there would be a ton of pressure to get curtis enis. they hired a coach not named andy reid. theres just no way it goes well. imagine ryan leaf in philadelphia.
