Covid/masks/these precautions should be gone now. You don't want to get vaxxed and get sick oh well. Likelihood of being vaxxed and getting seriously sick are low like other illnesses. Still don't feel safe wear a mask. Why is covid still a thing?

Variants keep happening precisely because the virus continues to rage unabated.  And why?  Unvaccinated fargs.

I don't think people turning down vaccination is the reason the virus continues to rage.  It doesn't help, but it's small scale to the real problem, which is we don't have enough vaccines going into arms to keep up with variants.  The mutations are not flowering out of anti-vaxxer communities.  They're coming from communities that don't have vaccines, so there's a lot of transmision, a lot of iteration.  These are people who are in line, they want the shot, but they live so far back in the line, they don't have first shots, never mind boosters.  The people who have a chance and don't take it, they are a problem, but not the reason the pandemic persists.

It's a global pandemic.  We have to get shots in arms everywhere, at more or less the same time, to have a shot of stopping it.

which is why we're never going to beat it...you cant feasibly get shots in arms in certain parts of the world

covid is here for pretty much ever, we gotta adapt and figure out how to live with it
