i picked up kahnle last week in anticipation of the robertson trade. once again, too smart for my own good.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Rome

Why would he ever come to Philly?   You'd have to offer him $50-$60M a year just to consider it as bait for another team to pay him $40M a year.

ice grillin you

he wouldn't which is  a good thing because who the hell would want that icehole on their team

So you agree he isn't coming.  Great.  Maybe stop the passive aggressive shemale trolling about him then.

ice grillin you

he could easily come to the phillies...like you said they have unlimited money to spend on buying a team much less one player

its gonna be tough to sign harper when theyll use their unlimited money to sign lorenzo cain, jd martinez and jay bruce this winter. but i guess you can just trade bruce and sign harper.

Why would he ever agree to play in Philly?  It's not LA, New York or even Chicago and if he wanted to settle for playing in a secondary market, he could just stay in DC.

Even you two knuckleheads see that, right?

you have to build from your system first and then you can try to fill in with free agents...and even when you go after free agents you have to have an appealing franchise and then you have to outbid the other big boys in the league for the best free agents

1. their system hasnt done shtein yet
2. they are not a destination for anyone
3. they still have to prove they can outbid the big boys (once they are on an even playing field with them as far as free agent appeal)

again you cant buy a team in baseball so buckle in tight for another three or four years and maybe then they will be competing for a playoff spot

A team with $150M in payroll flexibility and a few billion in the pipeline can buy whatever the farg they want

And players will go to the highest bidder regardless of wins and losses.

The Yankees will bid more.  So would the Dodgers, Cubs and Mets.  They're located in primary media markets whereas Philly isn't.

I don't care how much the Phillies offer... they'll be outbid.

Sorry to be telling truths here.

are you trolling? or just firing off outdated mid 2000s mlb talking points.

the yankees yes are setting themselves up for some big free agency hauls but the mets have no money and the cubs have long term deals to their own stars to consider, plus some lengthy expensive contracts for heyward, lester, zobrist, etc.

The Nats have already hit EIGHT home runs off Milwaukee today.  In four innings.

smeags

some fat POS, sub-human mets fan apparently got into with a cubs fan at game in Milwaukee.
If guns kill people then spoons made Rosie O'Donnel a fatass.
