I am too much of a centrist, which of course means most people in GOP think I am a sellout because I call it as I see it and don't follow party lines.

I mean this dope that calls himself president is a farging train wreck. who cares what party you belong to, be honest and stop being sheep. he tweets he was completely vindicated by comey's testimony ... wait, what ? he's delusional. among many other bad traits.

ryan says, oh he just doesn't have the political know how and that's why this Russian thing came about.

gee, doesnt that spell out for the country to see that trump has zero qualifications to be president ?

Dodd-Frank is an epic disaster for small and regional banks.  As much as people want to break up the big banks, and I think they should, there is no way for small or regional banks to compete.  The legislation was rushed, and acts as punishment to the business community.  It doesn't really protect the average American in any way shape or form.

Not that it matters...it won't pass the Senate.

I'm sure this congress is totally concerned with protecting the interests of small banks and business owners.

at my company all-member meetings,  we are always reminded of the regulations that they claim are hurting the company.

then 5mins later they boast about how the company had a "net" profit last year just under a billion dollars.

man, times be tough yo.

What I said about Republicans in my previous post - that would be the money lover rationale example.

It's easy to say "every man for himself" when the game is rigged for you to win no matter what.

Too funny.

It depends on the market cap of your company. If the company is worth 20 billion, then 1 billion represents a 5% return on capital. Not all that great.

Now if the company is worth 5 billion its around 20% and no one should be bitching.

net worth is a bit below $10bil.

im sure regualtions can be a hinderance at times, especially considering I work for a dutch company, meaning they have to answer to the us, as well as the european and dutch regulators.

ironically, our parent company got nailed by the euro bank for shady shtein.

The GOP annhiliated safeguards put in place to reign in Wall Street financial atrocities, but that's not what they really did.  No.  They actually helped repeal terrible regulations that cost hard working Americans jobs and helped small businesses and banks gain the freedom they need to create wealth!

Seriously.  For all the bitching they do about fake news, they should be called out for fake legislating because it's all farging bullshtein greed.

our parent company is a prime example of why regulations are needed. hey got nailed for good reason.

politics is now sports on the much of the right...obamas election started it and social media yeasted it to the point where people follow it like its their favorite team...what actually happens and for that matter issues in general carry little to no meaning....its like right wingism is the steelers and liberalism is the ravens and the republicans are the biggest homers of all time

now trump supporters have taken it to places weve never been close to seeing....they have to say that it wasnt a fumble even tho the highest definition slowest motion replay showed the ball was out two whole seconds before the knee was down..once you voted for trump its impossible to admit you were even a little wrong....even the moderates who voted for him then but now give him a terrible job approval rating when polled would still never come out and admit they were stupid as farg voting for him

And then the pendulum swings the other way and we get things like Dodd-Frank and the recent DOL ruling which are truly job killing, poor pieces of legislation.  I just wish there was a happy medium somewhere so we wouldn't have to put up with the extremists on both sides.

I mean,Dems have been neoliberal moderates for most of the past 25 years. Not sure if more moderate policies is the solution.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Hey guys, I think we should all cut Trump some slack, he's new to this whole Presidency thing. We should all be patient while he learns via OJT.
