You're gonna make J cry.

This seems like a competent, young, inexpensive player that they acquired for next to nothing. Doesn't seem like there's a lot of down side here.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

there was lots of talk during the season last year that ravens were upset with his effort....really who cares cause hes probably only here for a year anyway but hopefully joe douglas' familiarity here will pay off in something bigger

so rirchard sherman is on the market

lets talk turkey. regardless of it not being possible cap wise (is it?), what is your offer for him. hot takes requested. go.

ok i think the eagles can afford him if they cut: kendricks, kelce, barbre and mathews (who cant be cut until hes healthy).

Wouldn't touch Sherman for what it's going to cost to trade and sign him. Plus he's on the decline.

Corners might be the most system dependent players out there.  Maybe 3 years ago I'd take a serious look at him, but not now...not at the price it would take to get him. Love the dude, but it just doesn't make much bidness sense.

huh?

great corners are almost exclusively independent of any system....you throw them out on an island with the best wr and let em go....and corner in general is one of the least system dependent positions

There's a relatively short window where you might have a guy who can be on an island damn near all game, every game.  And those guys are pretty rare.  Most of the time when you're talking about a lockdown corner, you've probably got an excellent front 4 that gets a lot of pressure.  And CB stats can be horribly skewed.  I can't remember the name of any corner that played opposite of Nnamdi when he was in Oakland, so I'm thinking his reputation was probably a little inflated by the fact that QBs could target the other side of the field much easier.  Not saying he wasn't very good, I just think there were other areas of the Raider defense that were probably much easier to pick on.

Sherman is legit good, but I've seen it a thousand times over the last 20+ years where a really good CB changes teams and suddenly becomes very average.  Revis wasn't the same after he left the Jets/Rex.  Deion is one of the few who comes to mind in my lifetime who could play anywhere.  Sherman ain't Deion.

And even if Sherman is still the real deal, you've still got to rely on the Eagles coaching staff to use him properly...which you know they won't.

I'd take Sherman but the variable is what will it take?

I'm not giving up high pick(s).
