Here's a good article on the presence of the russian mob in the U.S., their ties to the Russian government and relationships with Trump since since the 80's, which are way deeper than I imagined.

I just can't believe that any of these ties are circumstantial and are making me less dubious of the Russiagate claims.

It worked because half the country spent the last 20 years watching Fox News and being horrified that gays were demanding equality, a black man was sitting in the White House and wasn't working there as a servant and about a thousand other instances that would have been inconceivable before that. 

They're poor or in debt up to their eyeballs, there's no decent jobs for people of their limited skills or education, and they were looking for someone to blame. 

Trump came along as all petty opportunists do and gave them something to rally around.  He called brown people rapists, he mocked women and the disabled openly, and dared anyone to stop him. 

Yeah, we should really be shocked that he was in the bag with Russian mobsters.  Shocked, I say!

Re: having a beer with W...I stand by it. Disagree with him wholly on many issues actually pretty much all of them but I'd still sit down with him.

i have drinkin with innumerable farging rednecks at the outer banks every year (never been there a single time where we didnt hear multiple n words dropped) and my house in bumfarg ny....however none of them are in my contacts and i dont think it would be (or was) cool to have a beer with them

people have been saying it for almost 20 years....thats way too long for them to not mean it...in this case sarge and or j will probably flip flop and say they didnt mean it that way but i dont believe it...no chance a ton of people dont actually think it would be awesome to have a beer with him...if thats your idea of a good time more power to you....i just dont on any level understand it and its always drove me nuts
