If Alshon balls out and the Eagles get him resigned long term, then it's all good.  I'm just looking at the immediate/short term impact of each option and think that in that tiny bubble, Marshall would have made more sense.  It's over and done with though.  Moving on.

I thought the only long term option out there on the market this past week was Cooks. Maybe Pryor. All the rest of the long term options are in the draft.

These FA WR signings aren't about the long term. They are about giving Wentz a chance to throw to real receivers while he's still adjusting to the game.

Maybe the best thing about Alshon is he may help keep Wentz from getting killed this year. That and they can concentrate on CB in the draft because they need 2 of them, unlike WR, and they could get 2 in the 1st 2 rounds.

Also Bouye to jags for $67M

I'm reminded for some reason of the Onion headline that said something like "U.S. Vice President Mike Pence Disappointed God Hasn't Asked Him To Sacrifice One Of His Children."

That's truly not fascinating in any way.  But I'm glad you shared it with us.  Thank you.

Think they have to clear $12 million to sign their picks too. Mathews/kendicks makes up $8-9 million of that space

There's also the hope that Chase farging Daniels will be moved?

I think it's more like $5-6 million for draft picks (iirc last year was about that amount. higher cap this year which should increase the rookie pool but they also don't have the number 2 pick to sign).
