willie snead & michael thomas are why they are willing to move him.

so that would go with QB's earlier thought about the saints thinking they can pretty much put anyone out there for brees.

brees has a year or two left...cooks is a dynamic proven veteran 23 year old

theres no good reason they would trade him

the question is is there a nefarious reason

From what I understood, the team was sick of his me-first sort of attitude last year when it came to getting the ball. Not that it's any sort of newsflash from a receiver perspective.

Well Wentz threw about 400 passes last year that I really wish were thrown to someone else, so if he wants the ball more that can be accommodated.

Zanshin

Yeah, not a concern for me. But that was the word on why they might move him.

92-1137-9 for thomas last season
72-895-4 for snead

they're loaded at wr.  cooks did complain a bit last season when he wasn't getting the ball as much...so i'm sure that 's part of it too. whatevs...i'd take him.  perfect fit.

first off it could be BS that hes even on the market

second they are stacked at wr and cooks is at his peak value right now -- 2 years of control left for below what he would get on the open market, coming off a great season, still very week -- so if they want to grab something for him, nows the time.

schefter followed up by saying the titans could offer their 1st or a pick swap. they have ammo like that the eagles dont. i do wonder if kendricks would be a fit for them.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

This.

I recall a majority of this board was hoping that Cooks was available when the birds were up in 2014.  You all remember the 2014 draft don't you?  Yeah, I was afraid so.

ARe they going to get a better WR in the 2nd round this year? If not...I guess the only problem is money.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

You talking about Alex Marvez? Here's his bio
QuoteAlex Marvez is an NFL Insider at SportingNews.com, and also hosts a program on SiriusXM NFL Radio. A former Pro Football Writers of America president, Marvez previously worked at FOX Sports and has covered the Miami Dolphins, Denver Broncos and Cincinnati Bengals.

I could live with a 2nd rounder, it's not a deep WR draft. It's a historically deep DB draft so our 1st will be a CB

Coin toss to determine if we pick 14th or 15th is today at 12:30. My money is we get the 15th because that's our luck.
