The swamp does need drained, but whoever believed Trump would even make an psuedo-effort to do this is gullible or stupid.

a coal town that went hard for trump is now trying to stop one of its residents from being deported....

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/27/us/immigration-trump-illinois-juan-pacheco.html?smid=tw-nytimes&smtyp=cur&_r=0

They named their son Kharloz...deportable offense?

But for real - the detestable people who voted for this monster are seeing what they have helped cause.

What really shows their ignorance and pisses me off is when they drop the generalized "with everything that has gone on"....if I am a reporter I follow up on that hard. Hold their feet to the fire to make them say exactly what the farg they're talking about.

Oh...unemployment rates? Oh good - let's talk about that. This dude is a mexican who runs a mexican restaurant. Yeah he's been popped for DUI but so have many white people. That is not a dis-qualifier for being here. Go to jail? Yep. But is Billy Bob going to open up a fajita joint? Whose job exactly is this man taking?

And go to even further - these people who scream about "omg they're taking our jobzzz"? They're not going to go landscape or roof or do whatever manual labor jobs the immigrants are taking. Give me a break.

im not saying there arent plenty of jobs where the employer is undercutting american workers by using super cheap undocumenteds but ive read tons of articles that interview farm owners who say there are plenty of good legit farming labor jobs available but they cant fill them with legals....one piece i read this morning quotes several farmers in florida who wouldnt go on record for fear of retribution from trump but said that they have lots of 15-20 dollar an hour jobs avaiable but american workers are essentially lazy and dont wanna take hard labor work like that even for decent money

Exactly. That is exactly correct. The jobs will go unfilled because Johnny Redneck ain't gonna get off his ass and go do it. He's probably on welfare. But voted GOP.

In ten years of ditch digging, I've worked with maybe 20 white or black laborers, and hundreds of latinos.  There is work if you will bust your ass but apparently "rea" Americans -- or at least, Marylanders -- don't go in for hard work any more.

Any time I want, I can go pick up eager hard workers at the usual spot.  All of them latino.  There are poor white neighborhoods...no pool of labor looking for work.  Poor black neighborhoods, lots of people unemployed...no day labor to be found.

trump is going to bring back a bunch of $10hr factory jobs and there wont be anyone to fill them.

I really never thought it'd be possible for Dubbya to be the more logical or rational sounding person in a direct comparison to pretty much anyone.

PhillyPhreak54

Yep - Trump makes people defend Dubya. What a world.

Speaking of Trump - I am SURE the soldiers love this one. According to The Fuhrer the soldiers "no longer fight to win".

Don't make me google the shtein or I'll see unoffensive shtein like this:

QuoteDeVos described the discussion as vigorous in a statement. "It was a pleasure to meet with Howard University President Dr. Wayne A.I. Frederick and several student leaders," the secretary said. "We had a robust discussion around the many challenges facing higher education and the importance of historically Black colleges and universities. Howard University plays a unique and valuable role in the fabric of our higher education system, and I am honored to help celebrate its 150th anniversary."

Or the horror:
