How does it work that this game is on CBS? Seems strange to have an NFC-NFC matchup not on Fox.

short answer: a few years back they instituted whats called a cross flex. it allows for cbs games to go to fox and fox games to go to cbs when it makes sense for the tv schedule

my guess is the next tv contract will remove the fox/cbs designations and games will be assigned to the networks each week depending on records and ratings and whatnot.
